Amazing Cosmetics’ Amazing Concealer comes in 20 shades, which is a pretty vast range to suit the majority of skin tones, from light to deep and offers both warm and cool undertones. The amazing folks at Amazing Cosmetics sent me the Tan shade, which is ‘medium to olive complexions with peach or neutral undertones’. As I am NC40 medium/olive skin tone with yellow undertones, this shade is not ideal to use under the eyes because it was just way too dark for me as I would need something lighter and brighter; however, I was able to use it to spot conceal my blemishes (although a shade or two lighter would have been ideal) and I also utilize it by mixing it with my lighter shade BB creams and tinted moisturizers and to sheer foundation if need be just to make the coverage fuller providing an even skin tone.
This product comes in a small black matte plastic squeeze tube with a small opening and a twist-on/off cap. The concealer has a thick creamy texture but surprisingly it doesn’t feel too heavy on the skin. It is a full-coverage concealer that is long wearing; ideal for any kind of imperfections such as blemishes, dark circles, bruises, acne scarring or redness. It is highly pigmented and very blendable, but I find that if you apply too much it can get cakey and look heavy despite feeling light on the skin, so less is definitely more with this product because you only need a small amount of product to cover a large area.
It contains Vitamin E which is an anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and Cucumber Fruit Extract which is good for de-puffing, softening and smoothing. Once applied, it sets really nicely and lasts all day without drying out your face, or sinking into fine lines, leaving your face looking very natural, smooth and skin-like finish. It is a lot amazing!
The Amazing Concealer is available in 2 sizes (0.5 oz – US $42.00, CAD $43.00) (0.2 oz – US $28.00) and can be found at Sephora. Because there is such a vast range of shades, I would recommend that one should swatch/color match in store to get the right color.
