Discovering Bioderma Micelle Solution

Bioderma-Sensibio-Bioderma-Hydrabio-Micelle-Solution-001Bioderma-Sensibio-Bioderma-Hydrabio-Micelle-Solution-002Recently, I’ve become a huge fan of micelle waters. I tried the Caudalie Cleansing Water and the Simple Cleansing Micellar Water (review here) and just felt in love and since I’ve been hearing such great things about Bioderma skincare, I thought I would give their micelle solutions a whirl. So on my recent Montreal trip I decided to try out the Sensibio H20 and the Hydrabio H20 skincare set that I picked up at Jean Coutu. Bioderma is a French skincare brand whose products are known for being highly effective but gentle enough to use on even the most sensitive skin. I love using micelle waters to remove makeup before I go in for a deep cleanse.

Bioderma Sensibio H20 (pink cap) is specially formulated for sensitive to intolerant skin, normal to dry skin types. It is a no-rinse micellar cleanser and makeup remover. It is a Micellar water cleanser, which requires no rinsing, and has a fragrance, soap and alcohol free formula with soothing emollient cucumber extract. It is very gentle on the skin, feels light and gives a feeling of instant freshness.

Bioderma Hydrabio H20 (blue cap) is a no-rinse formulated specially for dehydrated and sensitive skin. It claims to moisturize while it cleanses, which is why it is perfect for dehydrated skin. It contains cucumber and apple extract to purify without stripping the skin and Hydrabio H2O guarantees unrivaled tolerance and comfort for optimum makeup removing efficacy. Moreover, its Aquagenium exclusive biological patent stimulates the skin’s ability to retain moisture. It removes makeup very well, is effective, gentle and hydrating at the same time. It does leave my skin a little more hydrated and has a subtle scent than Sensibio.

Bioderma-Sensibio-Bioderma-Hydrabio-Micelle-Solution-003The main differences between the Hydrabio H20 and the Sensibio H20 is that Hydrabio contains glycerin, which makes up the “hydrating” feature and it also contains fragrance. I did not see a huge difference between the two but like I mentioned above, Hydrabio is a little more hydrating. However, what I love about these is that they never leave my face feeling tight or dry nor do they sting or irritate my eyes. I haven’t tried it on waterproof mascara because I don’t wear waterproof mascaras and while these will remove your face makeup do not expect it to remove all your eye makeup! These are excellent makeup removers that leaves your skin feeling soft and clean and not stripped or dry at all.

You can find these at Shopper’s Drug Mart if you’re in Canada and online at Beautylish.
