Drybar Velvet Hammer Hydrating Control Cream Review

Drybar-Velvet-Hammer-Hydrating-Control-Cream-Review-001

Today I want to talk about one of my favorite hair styling products. I’ve said before in my review of the Drybar Mr. Incredible Leave-In Conditioner, I have naturally curly colour-treated hair that is dry, very prone to frizz and can easily be weigh down so I’m always on the look-out for products that can help bring life back into my hair, conditions, defrizzes, and boosts shine without weighing it down making it flat looking….I know, I’m asking for a lot!!!

Drybar Velvet Hammer Hydrating Control Cream is a rich cream that moisturizes, smooths, and adds shine to thick, coarse, and highly textured hair making styling my hair very easy. The moisture-rich formula softens, smooths, and adds amazing shine while controlling flyaways for soft hold and definition. Pracaxi oil prevents frizz and delivers radiance, soy proteins retain moisture, improve elasticity, and protect from damage, and cetyl esters smooth hair and provide a cushiony, silky touch.

I’ve been using the Drybar Velvet Hammer Hydrating Control Cream since last summer when I discovered it at Sephora. It’s a bit pricey for me to be honest but I love it that much that I continue to repurchase. It even made my Best Beauty Products of 2015 in the haircare section. I use it after every wash and I’m loving it! I’ve seen significant differences in how my hair appears once it’s dry. It’s got life back in it, more shine and I definitely have less breakage. I know not all curls or hair texture are the same and what may work for me won’t necessarily work for you, but this actually gives me soft, smooth shiny hair that looks healthy! It smells clean, but not overpowering.

You can pick up Drybar Velvet Hammer Hydrating Control Cream for CAD $36.00 / US $29.00 at Sephora.

Have you tried Drybar before?

xo 🙂
