A L’Oreal Revitalift Bright Reveal Routine

A L’Oreal Revitalift Bright Reveal Routine

When it comes to skincare, I like focusing on anti-aging, hydration and anything that will help maintain the skin’s natural glow. I have combination/dry skin, but more so on the drier side as the weather gets colder so I’m big on hydration, ALL the time. L’Oreal’s latest skincare launch earlier this year is their new Revitalift Bright Reveal Collection. Bright Reveal was developed with two concerns in mind: a collection that exfoliates and renews to reveal brighter, glowy skin… but also hydrates and protects against future damage. Just like foundation, I think skincare is very personal so what works for one, may not necessarily work for someone else. My current skincare routine has included a mix of these skincare products over the past 2 months. The line includes a daily scrub cleanser, pre-soaked peel pads, an overnight moisturizer, and a day cream with SPF.

L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Brightening Daily Scrub Cleanser

This daily foaming scrub cleanser gently exfoliates dullness to visibly reveal radiant skin. The formula features glycolic acid and Vitamin C paired with natural volcanic particles and hydrating glycerin to help purify skin by immediately dissolving dirt, oil, makeup, and other impurities, allowing active ingredients to penetrate the skin surface layer.

I didn’t really like this cleanser that much when I first got it (maybe because it felt too abrasive on my skin), but it has since grown on me the past 2 months! The cleanser gently exfoliates both physically and chemically and contains AHAs. Due to the tiny micro-pearls in the scrub, I only used it every 2-3 nights as it is not something my dry skin can handle for daily use as it is too abrasive on my skin. It however left my skin feeling soft and clean. While it did help even out my complexion a bit, I didn’t notice any drastic results but it is a pretty decent scrub that really cleans the face. It has a wonderful citrus scent that I enjoy, not too strong.

L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Bright Reveal Peel Pads

This treatment incorporates the dual action of a 10% glycolic complex with the immediate exfoliating action of micro-texturized peel pads to gently resurface dull uneven tone and rough texture to reveal fresh-looking skin and reduce wrinkles over time.

The jar contains 30 multi-ply textured pads soaked in 10% Glycolic Acid to physically resurface dead skin cells. It is recommended that you use these at night, which is actually the only time I use them. I use after cleansing and prior to my serum 2-3 nights per week. These pads are great for gently buffing the skin and resurfacing. It cleans my pores and left my skin looking softer and brighter. I did not experience any redness or irritation with these, but because these have 10% Glycolic Complex it might be too strong for some so I would suggested that you use once a week. While I do enjoy using these pads and love that they contain 10% Glycolic Complex, these are not my favorite because they are not well saturated in the solution, so they feel rather dry and almost rough on the skin.

L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Bright Reveal Brightening Dual Overnight Moisturizer

Is this a lotion or a serum? A serum lotion? Well, I actually use it has a serum because it is just not hydrating enough for my skin to use it as an all in one. This contains Glycolic Acid, Vitamin C and Pro-Retinol. This is my favorite from the whole collection. While I wouldn’t say it deeply moisturizes, it is a wonderful overnight treatment that glides onto skin and absorbs rapidly for silky smooth skin. This anti-wrinkle + brightening night treatment combines two effective treatments in one pump. RED CHAMBER: Powered by glycolic acid. Penetrates skin’s surface layer removing dead skin cells to help absorption. WHITE CHAMBER: Powered by Vitamin C + Pro-Retinol. Enhances skin clarity, reduces visibility of hyperpigmentation, uneven tone, and wrinkles.

I really like how it makes my skin feels and this and the cleanser are the ones I would be more incline on repurchasing because I have really been enjoying them very much. This dual treatment feels very lightweight and has a nice fragrance. My skin is visibly softer, smoother and brighter after using this. Although it’s been 2 months since I’ve been using this, I honestly can’t say if I’ve really noticed a reduction in fine lines but I do enjoy this stuff. Because it’s not as hydrating as I would like it to be, I usually go in with a moisturizer after this or I apply a facial oil over it to lock in moisture. I would advised to let this sink into the skin for a few minutes prior to any facial oil application to prevent the combination of the products from ‘balling up’.

L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Bright Reveal SPF 30 Moisturizer

This brightening day moisturizer contains broad spectrum SPF 30 and uses a combination of Glycolic Acid, Pro-Retinol, and Vitamin C to visibly brighten skin, correct uneven skin tone and reduce wrinkles. Glycolic acid can cause skin sensitivity so it is most effective when used with a broad spectrum SPF to further protect the skin against UVA and UVB rays.

This is such a great day cream with SPF that has a nice creamy texture and absorbs quickly into the skin. I have been using this most days. It is lightweight and not sticky at all nor did it leave a white cast on my face (yay!). For me personally, again, I just did not find this as hydrating as I like my moisturizers to be especially now with the cooler temps as I’m more prone to flaking skin. Another things is that, even though I’m very careful to not get near my eyes, I somehow manage to a few times and oh boy, did it ever burn my eyes and made them watered. I was also concern about having Retinol in a daytime moisturizer. Typically retinol products are used during the evening only because of increase sun sensitivity. Just thought I would note that for anyone who did not know. Otherwise, it is a decent drugstore moisturizer and I plan to use it all up, but not one I would personally repurchase.
