PIXI DOUBLE CLEANSE

PIXI DOUBLE CLEANSE

I received a lovely PR package from Pixi Beauty months ago and one of the products I was really excited to try was the Double Cleanse which is a collaboration with Caroline Hirons.

I’ve had a chance to give the Double Cleanse a really good go and it has since become a must have in my skincare routine. Caroline Hirons is a skincare guru, aesthetician, and YouTuber. Personally, I’ve never watched her on YouTube or even heard of her until recently.

The Pixi Beauty Double Cleanse is a 2-in-1 cleanser. The tub is split into two parts — One side on the left contains a Solid Cleansing oil to break down and remove your makeup and the right side contains a Cleansing Cream to cleanse and hydrate your skin, prepping it for the next steps in your regime.

  • Solid Cleansing Oil: This is used to remove your makeup. It contains Vitamin E Oil to protect and condition, Camellia Oil which is Omega rich to nourish and Evening Primrose Oil to heal and moisturize.
  • Cleansing Cream: This is used to cleanse the skin. It contains Vitamin C to promote Collagen and protects, Peptide Complex to relax lines and plumps, and Arginnie to improve cell renewal and elasticity.

The cleanser is paraben free, fragrance free and it’s not tested on animals.

PIXI DOUBLE CLEANSE

I’ve been using this for a while now and I have to say I am very impressed with how effective it is. The solid oil takes off my makeup perfectly and the cream cleanser leaves my face soft, clean, and hydrated! The cleansing cream is really nourishing and soft on the skin and really helps to remove the gunk from the skin. The duo does a fantastic job at removing makeup and cleansing the skin. They both just work and they do exactly what they’re supposed to do. My dry/combo skin loves it! I feel clean but not stripped.

The only concern I have with this product is that I am going to go through both of them (mostly likely the cleansing cream) too soon and no, this has nothing to do with me using it so generously 😉

I’ve heard that the texture of the solid cleaning oil is very similar to that of the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm, which I’ve never tried so I can’t compare. Just thought I would mention it for those of you who have tried the Clinique Cleansing Balm.

Bottom line, this is an amazing product and one that I will repurchase because I love how effective it is. It cleanses the skin very well in a very gentle way leaving no residue behind. I think it’s worth giving a whirl if you’re looking for a new makeup remover/cleanser and if you have a hard time removing eye makeup or hate the irritating pulling and tugging of a makeup wipe.

You can find Pixi products online or at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Have you tried the Double Cleanse? And if so, what are your thoughts on it?
