SKINCARE TESTING WITH CLARINS

I’m sure if you’re a regular reader of my blog or you follow me on Instagram, it’ll come as no surprise to you what a fan of Clarins skincare I am. I’ve been a huge fan of their Hydra-Essentiel line for a while now and absolutely love their Bi-phase Serum and the Silky Cream. The main ingredient in this range is organic leaf of life. This plant is extremely resistant to different temperature variations and it still remains full of water despite any changes to the temperature of its environment. Clarins recently expended this product line to introduce two new hydrating products for the eyes and lips. Designed to target tightness and fine lines, the Hydra-Essentiel Moisturizing Reviving Mask and Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm have been an amazing addition to my skincare routine. I also have the Milky Lotion from the line which I will briefly touch on as well as their NEWLY launched Pore Control Serum.

L-R: Eye Mask & Lip Balm

Hydra-Essentiel Moisturizing Reviving Eye Mask: A moisturizing mask for poorly hydrated, tired eyes. The soothing eye mask is packed with Irish moss, horse chestnut, quinoa and organic leaf of life to hydrate and revive the under eye area. The cream-gel texture absorbs easily; you can use it as a quick 10-minute mask or leave it on overnight for a more intense treatment. Although this can be used as an overnight treatment, I kinda don’t see the point in wiping it off so I’ve actually been using this as an eye cream during the daytime and sometimes at night. The formula isn’t greasy or heavy but it’s incredibly hydrating so it absorbs just as well as any eye cream.  It is very hydrating and nourishing and my eye area feels smooth and plump. It also depuffs the eye area and soothes the skin. This is a lovely treatment that’s comforting, cooling, and moisturizing without feeling sticky.SKINCARE TESTING WITH CLARINS

Hydra-Essentiel Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm: A Lip care enriched with blue lotus wax to comfort lips. Replenishing lip care for dry and damaged lips. I’ve been using this as part of my nighttime skincare routine and it is a really good balm. Enriched with comforting blue lotus wax, it protects, hydrates, and nourishes my lips, without feeling sticky or slippery. It comes in a squeeze tube with a slanted applicator and a faint pink color. The texture is thick but not overly sticky. When used overnight, the balm provides a long-lasting hydration so when I wake up in the morning, my lips feel plump and softened. It has a really great texture that nourishes without being too thick.

Hydra-Essentiel Milky Lotion SPF 15 – Normal to Combination Skin: A comfortable, fluid lotion that melts into the skin and protects it from UV rays. This non-greasy fluid melts into the skin and restores its radiance and comfort, no matter the circumstances. Its secret? Organic Leaf of Life extract, which boosts your skin’s hyaluronic acid production, restoring moisture to the skin. This lightweight, but hydrating lotion is absolutely fabulous for dry skin as well. The pump is amazing and really hygienic. It is perfect for use during the morning when you don’t want a super thick moisturizer, but you need some good hydration. It’s creamy and light and everything I want in a day time moisturizer. Added bonus? It has an SPF level of 15, protecting you from harmful UV rays. It absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving it smooth and velvety soft – and as there is no greasiness so it is also perfect under foundation/makeup and doesn’t cause breakouts.

Clarins Pore Control Pore Minimizing Serum: Clarins also launched the new Pore Control Pore Minimizing Serum, which is an innovative skincare hybrid designed to help reduce the appearance of pores, while allowing your inner glow to shine through. Upon application, its evanescent texture with blurring effect masks pores and reveals an even, velvety, and radiant complexion. While most products in this category tend to leave skin looking dull, the Pore Control Serum, based on the new cutting-edge technology, provides two actions at once: pore control and illumination. The unique skin perfecting serum, which is great for oily and combination skin, works to diminish the appearance of pores, while reviving skin’s own radiance. It features a lightweight, moisturizing texture that instantly sinks into the skin to visibly reduce the appearance of pores and provide a nice, smoothing effect, and a shine-free finish. It smoothes the texture of my skin and improves overall brightness.  I only use this during the daytime before moisturizer and/SPF, and have really notice a difference since using this! This has an amazing floral fragrance to it. The organic strawberry fruit helps regulate oil production to make pores less visible.
