SKINCARE TO THE RESCUE

SKINCARE TO THE RESCUE
SKINCARE TO THE RESCUE

As a big fan of skincare I wanted to share a couple new favorites I’ve been using lately. These are products that I use on a daily basis and have incorporated in my skincare routine. I like to focus mainly on hydrating and anti-aging skincare products that everyone can use, no matter their skin-type.

Over the last few months, I’ve kicked up my skincare regime a notch. I love skincare that will help to nourish the skin and prevent premature aging so I always ensure my face is super clean and hydrated before bed and in the morning. I love trying new products so I’m always on the hunt for the next best thing; for any skincare such as eye creams, serums and face creams that contain more hydrating ingredients. So today I wanted to share these two skincare from Clarins. The new Hydra-Essentiel Silky line from Clarins is new to their range and help restore the skin’s capacity to retain water thanks to leaf of life extract which is intensely hydrated.

SKINCARE TO THE RESCUE

Hydra-Essentiel Bi-Phase Serum
This is a refreshing, lightweight serum that restores comfort and radiance to super-thirsty skin, instantly soothing tightness and irritations that’s great for redness, dullness and uneven texture and dryness.

The Canadian weather has been so weird the last couple months; it’s hot, it’s cold, it’s snowing, it’s raining, it’s sunny, oh I just can’t keep up and in the process, my skin has been feeling the effects of that and feeling quite dehydrated. Bi-phase serum boosts skin’s natural hydration, leaving it soft, visibly plump, radiant, and intensely hydrated. This is a very lightweight serum that offers intense hydration. Because of my sometimes dry skin (I have dry/combo skin), I was actually worried that it wouldn’t be hydrating enough for my skin but it really quenches my dull and uneven skin and despite feeling like you’re putting water on your face (literally), this really hydrates the skin. It’s so thin in texture so you might not feel as though it’s making a difference but it certainly does. It contains organic leaf of life, which is a super-quenching succulent plant extract that revitalizes the skin’s natural hydration to retain moisture in any environment. The formula perfectly preps skin to accept the full benefits of your moisturizers and protect against the elements. You only need about two pumps of the serum for the whole face and just press it into the skin. This is suitable for all skin types.

SKINCARE TO THE RESCUE

Hydra-Essentiel Silky Cream – Normal to Dry Skin

A silky cream that restores comfort and radiance to super-thirsty skin, instantly soothing tightness and irritations.

This velvety, nourishing face cream quenches my dry skin, shielding it from the dehydrating effects that leave skin looking dry and weathered like the temperature changes I mentioned above. It has a lovely smooth whipped texture and feels really silky as described and provides deep hydration while being lightweight all at the same time. This is so soft to touch and for my dry skin, this was exactly what I needed. It absorbs into the skin super-fast and really is a dream for dehydrated skin. Just like the serum, there’s a touch of fragrance which could have been toned down a bit but honestly it goes away quickly after a few seconds and it actually smells lovely. This comes in 3 textures: Melting silky cream texture (normal-dry skin), Rich cream texture (very dry skin), and Cooling gel texture (normal-combination skin) – since we all have different skin types so you’re bound to find the one that’s best suited for you.

You guys know how much I love facial oils; it’s something I use most nights if not all nights depending on what my skin needs but since I have been using these two products together, I have been skipping facial oils a lot more now because these are really providing the hydration my skin needs that I don’t need to use the oils nightly. If you’re suffering from dry or dehydrated skin and are looking for new skincare, I highly recommend giving this line a try as it really deeply hydrates and nourishes the skin. These two are definitely repurchases for me and I don’t use the word repurchase lightly.

What are your skincare favourites? Have you tried any of these?
