I was at my local Sephora only a few days ago and I saw the Ciaté London Dewy Stix – Luminous Highlighting Balm. I had actually never heard of it before so I swatched it and it was so pretty; BUT, it was sold out in store and also on the Canadian Sephora website (it has since been restocked). Who knew this little shiny thing was so popular; so I started looking up glossy cheeks/face gloss. Hence, the inspiration behind this post. Once upon a time, the only ‘gloss’ going anywhere near my face was on the lips.

Who knew that face gloss was now an actual ‘thing’.

Love it or Hate it, Face gloss has taken the beauty world by storm and it is basically what it sounds like, a gloss for the face to give you a natural, luminous and dewy look. Face Gloss provides a colorless finish and sheen on bare skin or on top of foundation and it can also be used alone over the eyelids for a glossy, modern look or mixed in with your usual eyeshadow. Face Gloss is the Dewy New Way to Highlight. Basically, face gloss is applied in the same way you would a highlighter — that is, to the high points of your face, like your cheekbones, above your outer brows, and at your cupid’s bow, in order to catch the light as you move. This gives your skin a healthy glow and is perfect for anyone who likes that dewy, fresh faced look.

Here are some of the best face gloss and glossy lid products to shop now…
