New Spring 2016 ShadesToo Faced recently released ten new shades of their popular La Crème Color Drenched Lipstick! I’ve never tried any of their La Crème lipsticks so I was very excited to receive these seven new shades to share with you. The spring collection brings news shades in the cream formula as well as some new shimmering and iridescent versions. These are a rich and creamy lip color infused with moisturizing and strengthening benefits including white lotus flower and power peptides.
The seven shades that I have are (swatches in order below):
• Unicorn Tears (Iridescent Cool Blue/Pink Shimmer)
• Topless (Cream Apricot Nude)
• Double Bubble (Cream Bubblegum Pink)
• Mean Girls (Shimmer Cool Pink)
• WHAM! (Iridescent raspberry)
• Berry Naughty (Cream Berry Wine)
• Ursula (Shimmer Deep Plum)
And then there are also additional shades that I don’t have:
• Sugar Daddy (Nude Rose)
• Clueless (Cotton Candy)
• 9021Ohhh (Candy Apple Red)
These lightweight lipsticks have incredible pigmentation on a single swipe. They are creamy (especially the cream formulas) and hydrating, but still have a great color and shine. The packaging is super cute as well! While all the shades are so pretty, I’m just not so sure about Unicorn Tears. It is such a unique color and it is interesting to see that Too Faced included this color in the collection. This is definitely not a shade I’m going to wear every day or at all, but maybe I can try layering it with something else. The shimmer shades are actually very pretty and comfortable on without feeling like you have chunky glitter all over your lips and I just love the way they look on the lips. I did find however that they were more prone to settling into fine lines a bit. Topless is very sheer. My favorite from the collection is Berry Naughty, which is a beautiful deep berry shade with a cream finish. It is just stunning against my complexion with a nice subtle gloss and a perfect color for the colder months. My husband whose not a fan of deep bright lipsticks, loves this color on me.
