As Maison Margiela recently launched a new scent in December 2022 (On A Date), I though of sharing Maison Margiela’s top scents from its Replica line—most of which are unisex. Maison Margiela’s cult-loved line of eau de toilettes called Replica is fast becoming my favorite. The cozy, time-and-place-inspired collection features some of the most beloved scents in the industry (By the Fireplace will always be a classic and probably my favorite).

REPLICA’ By the Fireplace
– Most popular & best selling (Best for Fall/Winter)
This is the best selling and still one of the top smelling perfumes from the Replica line. By the Fireplace is a warm scent that combines orange flower, clove oil, and chestnut atop a comforting vanilla fragrance to re-create the signature warmth and coziness of a crackling fire. This scent is very strong, intense and unique. It’s quite intoxicating but if you feel it’s too strong for your liking, try the candle, it’s just as intoxicating as the perfume. It’s a scent I wear year-round, too.

BEACH WALK evokes memories of endless summer days, the warm ocean breeze, and the glow of sun-kissed skin. This is another favorite of all the Replica perfumes so far. This was the first perfume I bought from Maison Margiela’s and the scent that made me fall in love with Replica.

Jazz Club conveys two sensations: the elegant smoky scent of cigars and the exquisite aromas of a glass of amber Rum. In this scent, a smooth cocktail of warm scents and spicy fragrances awakens the senses with contrasting lemon and pink pepper followed by neroli oil, rum, and vanilla perfume atop smoky tobacco leaf.
This is very similar to By the Fireplace, with rich and smoky undercurrents but definitely a masculine scent, but with more feminine notes of vanilla and lemon senses so it’s one I love.
