TWO AFFORDABLE STIPPLING BRUSHES

Whether you’re a makeup enthusiast like myself or you’re just starting out, one makeup brush that everyone needs in their collection is a stippling brush. You know, those two-toned brushes with a black base and white tips, yep, that’s the one!! Many stippling brushes feature two sets of bristles: white synthetic fibres at the top to pick up the product and help deposit it on your skin and a black natural fibres at the bottom, which are denser. I find that they bring so much to the table when it comes to makeup application because they can be used in a number of ways for a natural airbrushed result. The two layers of bristles create ultimate control from sheer to heavy coverage for small and hard to reach places.

While stippling brushes can really be used anywhere on the face, and with any type of product, they are generally the most best with cream or liquid face products. I have two affordable drugstores ones I want to share today that works just as well as some of the more expensive ones.

Real Techniques Stippling Brush – CAD $10.47 / US $10.00

A dual-fibred brush that is every makeup artist’s secret weapon or just a makeup junkie like myself; to help create that ‘airbrushed’ finish. I prefer to use a stippling brush when applying a liquid or serum-base foundation, or any cream products. It’s versatile and works well with any kind of highlighter whether it’s pressed, loose, or cream. It also works well for blending harsh lines or edges. The size of this brush is perfect for buffing in foundation because it covers a good portion of the face at a time, while still able to reach into the small contours of the face. This is the type of makeup brush a lot of people will probably overlook, not knowing how to use it, but once you give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprise by the results.

ELF Small Stipple Brush – CAD $3.97 / US $3.00

This E.L.F. one can also be used with creams or liquids, and is small enough to reach all the contours of your face. It has a smaller brush head so it buffs color into cheeks very easily and effortlessly resulting in a flawless, sheered out finish. Though not as soft as the Real Techniques one, it is an excellent pick for using with liquid and cream cheek products.

Both brushes have become staples in my makeup collection and I highly recommend them if you’re looking for something more affordable! I purchased both brushes at my local Walmart.

Have you tried any of these brushes yet? If not, do you have any favorite duo fibre brushes in your collection? Share in the comments below as I would love to discover something new!!

xo ❤
