Pixi Beauty recently sent me their new GelTint & SilkGloss lip set along with their Sheer Cheek Gel. Lately I’ve been using a few of Pixi’s products and have really been enjoying their skincare and love how effective and affordable their products are; plus they do not test on animals. Today I’m sharing some swatches and a quick review of these Pixi Sheer Beauty – GelTint & SilkGloss and Sheer Cheek Gel!!
Sheer Cheek Gel ($14.00)
Sheer gel blush creates a natural looking and long lasting cheek flush to brighten & beautify your complexion in an instant. Applies easily with fingers for a fresh & healthy burst of colour on cheeks and lips. I was sent all three colors:
- Flushed is the darkest and is a “fresh red”
- Rosy is a “perfect berry-rose”
- Natural is a “soft warm pink”
I’m more of a powdered girl but I’ve been branching out into creams/liquid highlighters lately but haven’t really had the opportunity to try a lot of cream blushes so I was quite eager to try these. These have a very smooth texture and the effect is a very beautiful sheer, natural and long-lasting blush. This is oil free, hydrating, and moisturizing but they do feel a little bit sticky on the skin. I layer this under my cheek powder by applying a small amount of the cheek gel after I applied my foundation and sweep the product onto the cheeks using my fingers. It blends easily and stays on for hours without sweating or melting off. This would be really great for travelling as the tube is small. I don’t find that you need a whole lot with this product as you only need the tiniest amount to achieve a beautiful flush on the cheeks. You can also use these on the lips for a hint of tint.
GelTint & SilkGloss ($12.00)
Long-lasting lip tint gives a stained effect, while jojoba infused lip gloss keeps lips hydrated & nourished. I was sent all three colors:
- BeachTint & FreshGloss
- PinkTint & PrettyGloss
- BerryTint & SweetGloss
These double ended tint and gloss is just such a fantastic idea that I’m not sure I’ve ever seen before. One end contains a gel formula lip stain, and the other holds a glossy top coat.
I was expecting the colors to be very bright on my lips since they look so bold in the tubes but I’m happy to report that they are perfect for an everyday look. These are non-sticky, perfect for wearing layered or separately, whatever you fancy! You can also get creative and mix and match the shades. They are long-lasting (especially the stain) and gives a beautiful stained effect. They won’t dry lips out but will provide hydration without having to sacrifice some pop of color. Plus the gloss keeps lips hydrated and nourished. This is how I apply them: Apply tint or gloss onto lips for a quick pick me up or layer first with the tint then top off with the gloss for added dimension. These are the perfect travel duo!
