So today I want to share a review on Klairs Freshly Juiced Drop Vitamin C Serum; a product I’ve been using for little over a month now. I’ve tried and loved a few items from the brand before including their Soft Airy Uv Essence Spf 50 and Rich Moist Soothing Serum/Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask so I was really excited to try more from their lineup. I love trying a wide range of skincare to help with different issues as I age, but am really particular about what I use.
The Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop is a serum to rejuvenate the skin. It is a watery and lightweight serum that aims to target the most common problematic skin types, such as acne-scars, acne-prone skin, hyperpigmentation and dull complexion. With the power of Vitamin C, this serum claims to fix these problems as well as prevent signs of ageing by tightening and firming the skin. It is also non-irritating.
This serum is designed to be a daily supplement essence with a mix of 5% L-Ascorbic acid, Centella Asiatica, Yuzu Extract and Broccoli Extract. The Vitamin C in this serum is gentle for all skin types.
The antioxidant properties of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and its role in collagen synthesis make vitamin C a vital molecule for skin health. Some studies have shown that vitamin C may help prevent and treat ultraviolet (UV) – induced photo-damage, produce collagen, protects against skin discoloration and improves skin texture.
The serum comes in a small clear glass dropper bottle with holographic labels, however, it makes it a bit difficult to photograph. Mostly Vitamin C serums that I know of comes in a dark glass bottle for it to not oxidize. Klairs claimed that their formula is stabilized that’s why it’s clear but I’ll let you be the judge of that…
The texture is clear in color and slightly oily but not too oily to the point that it’s uncomfortable on the skin and it absorbs quickly and finished off slightly satin on my skin. As mentioned, it is lightweight but not super thin like water but has a slight viscosity to it. With daily and consistent use, these drops revealed brighter, plumper skin. I did notice that my dark spots lighten up a little. I don’t have acne skin anymore so I’m not sure how well this really works on acne-prone skin but it has definitely brightens and rejuvenate my dull skin.
I personally only use this at night and because of my dry/combo skin, I do incorporate another hydrating serum as I didn’t find this hydrating enough for my skin during this time of the season. I use it after cleansing, toning, and essence. I apply it directly onto my skin, then finish off my routine with my eye cream and moisturizer.
Please use caution when using Vitamin C drops with other products containing BHA/AHA. Over exfoliation can lead to more breakouts, irritated skin, broken skin, etc.
Overall I love this product. I have yet to try everything in their lineup but I have been really impressed with what I’ve tried so far. Their products are gentle but effective. I like that they care about their ingredients and the environment.
You can purchase the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop on Wishtrend for $23.
