Fall off Resolution Bandwagon?

Beautyque Founder Gives Tips to Stay on Track

Fall off Resolution Bandwagon

Is it time for a reset on beauty and wellness resolutions? Beautyque NYC’, the first 3D interactive beauty platform, Founder & Owner Sonia Khemiri reassures people who have fallen off the resolution bandwagon to get back on and recommit to their beauty and wellness goals for 2023.

“It’s all good. Building a new habit takes time, so be kind to yourself and start where you left off. Once you start seeing results – and getting all those compliments from random strangers – you’ll know it’s all worth it,” Sonia believes.

According to an article titled “19 Mind-Blowing New Year’s Resolution Statistics (2023)” on Inside Out Mastery, 23% quit in the first week, and only 36% make it past the first month. In fact, according to the article, 43% of all people expect to fail before February, and only 9% see their resolutions through until succession.

Sonia believes making and keeping beauty and wellness resolutions are important and easier. “Many resolutions focus on deprivation – diets, and giving up things we think are bad for us,” she explains. “The joy in beauty and wellness resolutions are that they bring pleasure to our lives. It’s not about being self-critical – it’s about being kind to ourselves and enhancing what we already have.”

Here are Sonia’s 5 overall beauty & wellness resolutions people should make for 2023:

1. Get to know your skin. Really look at yourself in the mirror and name your good points. See your own beauty and resolve to make the most of what you have in 2023. Then think about your areas of concern. What are they? Once you know what you want to change, educate yourself on the products and ingredients that will help you reach your goals.

2. Commit to getting quality sleep. Consistent and healthy sleep patterns impact skin health and overall appearance. Beauty sleep is a real thing.

3. Drink plenty of water – around 11 cups a day. Water has tremendous skincare benefits including decreasing visible wrinkles, reducing skincare issues, increasing hydration and maintaining a youthful appearance.

4. Commit to clean beauty at least 80% of the time. Up to 60 percent of what we apply to our skin makes its way into our bloodstream, so choosing safe, non-toxic products is one of the most important decisions you can make for your health.

5. Sign up to the Beautyque NYC newsletter you’ll be joining a community of indie skincare/beauty insiders like you. We share trends and insights on overall beauty and wellness topics.

Overall, for 2023, Sonia advises rethinking the entire act of self-care. “Think of self-care as more than just a bath or a sheet mask (though it can be those things too). Think about your sexual wellness and the hormone journey – get to know your body and its cycles. Embrace your sensuality and your femininity,” she recommends. “Explore what makes you feel good and make that part of your self-care practice.”
