Okay people, where has the summer gone? It is the last day of August, which means that in exactly one week, school starts again for my 6.5 year old who will begin her 2nd year in French Immersion at a new school. It also means it’s time for my monthly favourites. This month I found myself trying out a lot of new makeup and skincare (reviews coming soon on skincare) and since I skipped July favorites, I have accumulated a bit of favorites; so I wanted to share with you all what I’ve been obsessing over in the last couple months.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate
This foundation has been one of my favourites for the last month. If you like ultra-lightweight and full-coverage wear that lasts, then you need to try this foundation. Too Faced Baby Love
I adore these Love Flush Blushes. This shade is very beautiful; a soft dusty nude with fine gold sparkle. The perfect neutral! Review and swatches here.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow
How can I not include CT’s bronze and glow palette in this month’s favorite. I have had this for a very short time but instantly felt in love. I used it today and I was like, “yes, this is beautiful. Now I know why I had to get it”. It is the perfect combination of the perfect sculpting powder and highlight shade. Review and swatches here.
Becca Champagne Pop
This is my second Becca highlighter and I am in love. It’s a beautiful golden champagne shade with pinky peach undertones. It is actually a very versatile highlighter; I use it on my cheekbones, brows, eyes, bridge of my nose and cupid’s bow. Check out my review here to find out more.
Marcelle Nano Eyebrow Liner
As I mentioned in a previous post, this was an amazing find. I love it so much that I have since picked up Dark Brown. I really love my Brow Wiz but this is a cheaper alternative and it does a fantastic job of filling in my brows and still look very natural!
Dior Eye Reviver Illuminating Neutrals Palette
Dior Eye Reviver Palette is described as the first illuminating palette to brighten the eyes with an instant radiance-boosting effect. This is perfect for creating a subtle and natural look and also gives the possibility to create a smoky eye by using the darker colors thanks to the black liner. Rimmel Nude Collection by Kate
These lipsticks are the same formulation as the previous shades from the previous Kate Moss collections. They are moisture-rich, opaque and creamy with a semi-matte texture and super comfortable on the lips. I have mine in #45 Rose Nude and it is a beautiful nude color. Love it!
