I had been lusting after this and the Guerlain L’Or Pur Radiance Face Primer for a while; but the Guerlain one was sold out (again) and and after swatching the backlight primer for the umpteen time in Sephora, I decided to bring it home with me.
Becca’s Backlight Priming Filter is a makeup primer that is suppose to help blur imperfections and impart a radiant glow. If you have dry skin or your complexion is looking a little dull, then you’re going to love this primer. The formula is infused with three unique Filtering Luminescent Pearls, while the vitamin E-enriched formula minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
This primer is hydrating, glowing, and fills in lines nicely to create a smooth canvas. It adds radiance, so if you’re like me and you like a dewy glow all the time, then you’re going to love this! It is non-sticky and creates the perfect base for my foundation. It does not significantly affect the staying power of my foundation in any way, but that’s okay because it doesn’t claim to. It is not drying on the skin nor does it accentuate any dry patches. It just adds the right amount of luminosity without being over the top or too shimmery. It has a beige champagne tint with a luminous sheen making the color perfect for my skintone. It can be applied on bare skin for an all-over dewy finish or used under your base of choice.
It is similar to Burberry Nude Radiance No. 01 (review here) but lighter and less shimmery than a Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector.
Have you tried the Backlight Primer?
