I actually won this beauty in a giveaway from the beautiful cali_beaute and xxojess_ a few weeks back and I was so excited since I had tried purchasing this when it was initially launched but by the time I went online, it was already sold out; so how ecstatic was I when I won the giveaway! (This is now available online and in-store)
The Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection launches a few weeks ago and it has been a huge hit. I’m pretty excited to have this in my collection because it is such a gorgeous face compact! The full collection features items focusing on the complexion, eyes and cheeks. It’s funny, but the day I was about to place an order for the eye palette was the day it was pulled; it literally just disappeared from my basket and I was like, what the heck? It sold out again? Then I realized what happened not long after. Anyway, my focus today is on this beautiful face palette, Champagne Collection Face Palette, which is limited-edition.
The palette includes a brand-new highlighter called Prosecco Pop (a medium warm gold), the famous Champagne Pop highlighter (soft white gold with pinky peach undertones), and the three blushes that come in the palette: Rose Spritz (soft peach pink with pale gold shimmer), Amaretto (matte toasted almond) and Pamplemousse (matte warm coral pink). The first shade has the Luminous Blush formula and the other two have the Mineral Blush formula from Becca which are more on the satiny side and more natural-looking. Apparently, the new shade, Prosecco Pop was actually inspired by liquid gold and I would say that’s exactly how it looks on the skin. I already own Champagne Pop (review here) and even thought about getting a backup at one point (it’s now permanent) so I’m excited to get another one in this palette. After playing with the two highlighters, I actually prefer Champagne Pop by far as I find that it flatters my skin tone better.
The packaging of the face palette is just beautiful and comes with a large sturdy mirrored compact with some gold reflectives. It feels very well made and luxurious.
Now, I don’t own any of Becca’s bushes so I can’t speak from experience with respect to the formula but the quality of these blushes are very pigmented, creamy to the touch and you only need a tiny bit to achieve a nice flush of color to the cheeks. Both of the highlighters are smooth, extremely pigmented and glowy but easy to blend. You can use shades individually or mix to create different looks/colors, which is what I do. I always tap off any excess on my brush before applying the highlighters and blushes since they’re so pigmented. I also suggest using a light hand, which is very hard for me because I am just naturally heavy handed with anything…Lol!! The colors are absolutely beautiful and very flattering on my medium olive skintone and they do brighten up the complexion.
Overall, I love this Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow Face Palette and totally recommend it, especially if you’re a Becca fan or even Jaclyn Hill, because the quality of the products are amazing and the value is pretty amazing as well at US $52.00 / CAD $59.00, (and if you purchase one Becca highlighter, it will cost CAD $46.00 / US $38.00).
