I am always on an unending quest to find that “perfect” mascara. Many have come close and I thought this is the one, such as Benefit’s “They’re Real!”, Lancôme’s “Hypnôse Star Mascara”and Too Faced “Better Than Sex Mascara” along with several from the drugstores. I received “Buxom” Mascara as a sample in a packet with other items or as a point perk from Sephora and I was pleasantly surprised! This mascara is safe for even the most sensitive eyes, which I do have by the way. It is formulated without Parabens and Phthalates, and does not contain synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, or petrochemicals.
It claims the vitamin-enriched, clump-resistant formula deepens, darkens, and thickens while the curvy, hourglass-shaped brush evenly coats lashes from root to tip and that it is an intensely volumizing mascara for bigger, fuller lashes.
Firstly, the rubber-bristle brush is enormous. This can make it difficult not only to reach the lashes at the inner corner of the eye but also to avoid getting mascara on your skin during application, although it is possible with patience and practice.
This mascara is pretty good. It lengthens lashes and defines really well and you can make lashes impressively long, moderately thick, and perfectly separated. It is buildable without clumping and although it doesn’t give intense full volume, it instead provides long and defined lashes without that clumpy built up look.
Several coats can be added and this does not clump or flake and one of the best part is that it separates very well. It remains flexible and soft so one can use as many coats as they want until desired volume and length are achieved.
I haven’t noticed any dryness and flaking. Only drawback is the price ($19.00 US, $24.00 CAD, 0.37 oz), I tend to prefer purchasing drugstore brands as I go through mascaras quite often and I always seems to have the need to try a new one from the drugstore.
I will still continue to use other mascaras, but this is excellent, wonderful, and nearly perfect.

Wow, I have never really thought much or given the Buxom mascara a second thought, but now I must pick one up on my next trip to Sephora.
I like your blog! 🙂
