I absolutely love skincare. New skincare excites me, regardless of whether I actually need another serum or facial oil in my life. My most recent serum discovery is the New Clarins Double Serum.
The New Clarins Double Serum is a Complete Age Control Concentrate formulated to help work on the 5 vital functions of the skin for a more youthful and radiant complexion. Now containing 21 active plant extracts including new star ingredient turmeric, distinguished for its exceptional anti-ageing properties. New Double Serum acts on the appearance of major signs of skin-ageing, skin is more radiant, firmer and fine lines are smoothed. This innovative serum targets the 5 vital skin functions (regeneration, oxygenation, nutrition, hydration, and protection) to keep your complexion youthful and healthy, no matter your skin type. This is the 8th generation serum, both water- and oil-soluble—to ensure a perfect affinity with your skin.
The new innovative bottle delivers a made-to-measure dosage of the serum, thanks to its rotating push button. The new Double Serum lets you dispense more or less product – If you have oilier skin or want to use less for daytime, simply switch the dial to the smaller droplet. If you have drier skin or want to use it at night, turn the dial to the larger droplet. The dosage system is clever and I simply love the packaging as it is functional and very innovative. I received Clarins NEW Double Serum at a recent event I attended in September. I’ve never tried the previous versions but I’m a huge fan of their skincare.
What do I really think?
I’ve been using the Clarins Double Serum [Hydric + Lipidic System] for two months now mainly as part of my nighttime skincare routine on my face and neck and then follow it with my regular moisturizer. Depending on your needs, you really only need about one pump of the serum but I personally use two pumps (due to my dry skin, colder/dry climate and winter) – it separates when you first pump it out so just gentle rub together between your palms and apply to your skin. The texture is lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin. The immediate effect is brightening and smoothing and leaves your face feeling quite moisturized. It doesn’t leave any sticky residue on the skin and works great with all my moisturizers. This serum is so hydrating, which is a lifesaver for my dry/combination skin especially with the temperature getting colder. I have definitely seen an improvement in my skin texture as my skin feels smoother and firmer so I have been really impressed with the results. And I find my skin looks noticeably plumper in the mornings.
