- Oh La La – Reddish Pink Colored Lipstick
- Chic – Orchid Colored Lipstick
- Purple Rain – Deep Purple Colored Lipstick
These lipsticks are enriched with vitamin E to hydrate lips and protect against dryness and are intensely rich pigment matte color with a soft touch finish. These are Paraben and Cruelty Free. The formula is fully opaque and provides excellent color pay off. They have a very slightly creamy texture that glides on fairly well with a smooth, even finish (I always use a lip balm prior to application of any matte lipsticks). Without a base, I find that there can be a bit of a tugging when applying them, especially if you have very dry lips. What’s nice about the formula is there is enough creaminess for even application, easy glide, but not so much that it slips around the lips or causes bleeding or feathering. These are opaque in one pass, and wore for about five hours and left behind a slight stain. It’s not the most moisturizing formula I’ve tried but it isn’t drying either. Color remains true throughout that wear and doesn’t fade. It doesn’t crack or flaky nor does it make my lips feel or look dry.
=As you can see from the pics, they arrived with some sweat on them and this was heat-related as they were sitting in the packaging for a couple of days prior to me opening them, plus it was very hot the day I took these photos. They have since dried as I have stored them in a cool dry place on my vanity. Also, this did not affect the formula or application in the slightest!
Honestly, there are no negatives when it comes to these lipsticks. I only wish the array of shades were better. The two Reds look quite similar, at least on my skin tone and pigmented lips and as a person whose not a fan of red lipsticks, I likely won’t get too much wear time out of these. I wish there was at least a nude shade included and/or more wearable everyday shades. Otherwise I’ve really been enjoying the formula and wearing all the shades a lot except for Parisian Red, which I’ve worn only once. Purple Rain is by far my favorite!
If these colors are right up your alley, then I do recommend checking them out as the matte formula is very nice and the colors are gorgeous! You can purchase the Limited Edition Matte Lipstick Set on their website for CAD $64.69 / US $50.00 (which works out to US $12.50 & about CAD $16.00 a piece which is a very reasonable price point. You also get 3.5 grams per lipstick).
