I can’t believe that Spring collections are out, but aren’t we in the middle of winter I ask? I love spring because it’s my birthday season but I also adore spring makeup because they are usually so pretty especially the Dior Spring 2016 Glowing Gardens Collection. This collection was inspired by the beautiful gardens of Christian Dior’s childhood home in Granville and all I can say is that it’s gorgeous. Although everything in the collection is gorgeous, I only picked up the Glowing Gardens Illuminating Powder in Glowing Pink. I wanted everything in the collection but I mean a girl has to stop somewhere and I’m also watching my spending when it comes to makeup and buy only the things I absolutely want and know I will love.
The compact is a silver quilted design that comes with a mirror inside and it also comes with a mini size kabuki brush for easy application.
Diorskin Nude Air Glowing Gardens Illuminating Powder, retails for CAD $64.00 / US $58.00. This powder with extremely fine illuminating pigments is embossed with a delicate floral motif. I just love the floral embossment on it. This is a cool-toned pale pink highlighter with a luminous sheen and radiates a pink iridescence without the glitter. The formula is smooth but not powdery at all and it blends beautifully into the skin. The powder feels like a gel-powder hybrid that is lightweight and finely milled and creates a radiant glow from within. It doesn’t emphasize pores or fine lines on my skin, but I would also suggest being careful with application if you’re of an olive/medium complexion like I am. The highlighter wore well for about 8-9 hours before fading. For those looking for a warmer glow, the collection also includes the Diorskin Nude Air Glowing Gardens Illuminating Powder in Glowing Nude which is a luminous beige but I prefer Glowing Pink.
The Dior Glowing Gardens Spring 2016 Collection is available now at Dior counters nationwide, Sephora, and TheBay.com.
