Etude House is a Korean cosmetics brand and I am just adoring their cute girly pink packaging and wide selection of high performing products. I love how feminine and playful Etude House’s packaging can be. I have a couple things I have being playing around with and wanted to do a quick review for you guys.
First let’s start with the eyeshadows. I have five of the single eyeshadows in the colors OR202, PK005, BR402, BR414 and BE105. Etude House describes these as a ‘smooth, silky eye shadow that supplies eyes with a profound, dramatic look’.
LOOK AT MY EYES CAFE
OR202: peach color with a matte finish
PK005: coral-pink color with a matte finish
LOOK AT MY EYES
BR402: reddish toned brown with fine shimmer and have a metallic finish
BR414: a rose gold color with shimmer and very light metallic finish
BE105: a light beige-copper color with shimmer and very light metallic finish
These eye shadows have a gorgeous heart embossed pattern and come in a cute sturdy transparent compact. They are finely milled and have an ultra-smooth and silky consistency with a soft, buildable payoff that applies well and blends readily. There was no creasing or fading with these eye colors and they’re fairly long wearing as well. The shimmery shades have better pigmentation than the matte shades.
Except for the matte finishes, the rest are all neutrals colors that I am able to wear on an everyday basis. They are all beautiful shadows but I must say, my favorite from the bunch is #BE105. They are all super pigmented but I would say #BR402 is the most pigmented and most metallic of the bunch. I really love these single shadows because they are so pigmented, goes on easily and blends very well. The metallic ones do have some fall-out but they’re not chalky at all and they are nice quality for the price. Swatches L-R: Propose Pink #PK001, Actress Coral #OR202, Refresh Orange #OR207
I have three lipsticks. Look at the packaging, oh my, super cute and girly. These are my first Etude House’s lipsticks and I must say they do not disappoint. I normally do not wear such bright colors but I had been testing them out during the summer months and the formula is really good. They have a creamy buttery consistency that melts onto lips and delivers a vivid color payoff that isn’t drying at all. They are smooth and last a long time. I absolutely love the rich colors and high shine finish of these lip colors.
Dear My Blooming Lip-talk – “Refresh Orange” (OR207): a bright reddish orange color with a lightweight and soft texture.
Dear My Wish Lip-talk – “Propose Pink” (PK001): bright cool-toned pink color
Dear My Wish Lip-talk – “Actress Coral” (OR202): bright deep coral color
The My Wish Lip contain Vegetable Squalane to keep lips moisturized with glowing rich glossy colors.
Lash Perm Proof Mascara
This mascara is formulated with Triple Coating Film and supplies precise lash definition and long lash with its unique waterproof formula that won’t tears or sebum. It is supposed to hold curl and last for 24 hours. This mascara has a wet formula that isn’t very thick. It provides a bit of curl but nothing phenomenal, provides length and some volume and it also made my lashes thicker but there was a lot of clumping, which I hate. I like that it evenly distributes the product along the lashes making it appear fuller and longer. The mascara brush is a decent size with a thin and curved brush to reaches all your lashes without much difficulty and less mess. One downsize for me is that this is waterproof because I am partial to non-waterproof mascaras.
Drawing Show Brush Eyeliner
This is a liquid eye-liner with a soft, pen-type brush tip that produces smooth, clean lines for stark definition with a satin finish. It comes in two colours, BK801 Black and BR401 Brown. I have the black colour. The pen has a soft but precise tip for precision and control. It’s water-resistant enough to avoid smudging. I must admit I am not a huge fan of liquid eyeliners and I have a love hate relationship with them because I can never seem to steady my hands or nerves when I use them. I absolutely hate applying liquid liners and I find them very tricky to master; however, I did play around with this one a bit and the application process was much easier than I expect, almost as easy as my Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner. The pen is a comfortable size to hold, small, and easy to carry around if you need to and great for beginners. It’s also very pigmented and I don’t need to go over the liner a few times to achieve a bold finish. Overall I do really like this eyeliner.
