Drybar has recently become one of my favourite hair brands last year and even made my Best Beauty Products of 2015. Drybar is the leading blowout destination in the US with their concept created around a very simple idea: “No cuts. No color. Just blowouts!” They have developed a line of professional hair styling products and tools that will help you achieve the perfect blowout at home.
I had an opportunity to review their newest launched, Mr. Incredible The Ultimate Leave-In Conditioner. This leave-in conditioner offers multiple claims for shiny, soft, healthy-looking hair. It said it will prevent breakage, detangles, enhances shine, repairs dry/damaged hair, softens, conditions, hydrates, defrizzes, and smooths. With notes of ginger, mint, and sandalwood, it provides a pampering and at-home spa experience.
Typically, you’ll find leave-in conditioners with a pump, a squeeze tube or in a tub, but this one comes with an aerosol, which is quite unique because it allows you to get a super fine mist of product for smooth, lightweight, and even application.
I have very curly color-treated hair that is dry, prone to frizz and can easily be weigh down. Therefore, I am careful what I put in my hair and I always use a leave-in conditioner and/or some type of styling cream on the daily. Honestly, when it comes to my curls, it usually takes a lot to impress me and more often than not, I don’t like the leave-in conditioners I use because they basically do nothing for my curls. This leave-in conditioner is, well, as they say, incredible. I really like it because it detangles my hair without weighing it down like some other leave-in conditioners, leaving it feeling super soft. It also conditions, defrizzes, boosts shine and applies like a mist yet hydrates as intensely as a cream. I’m not yet sure if this is my go-to leave-in conditioner but it has certainly made its way into my daily haircare routine. It says this is safe for all hair types and color-treated hair.
The Drybar line of haircare is available exclusively at Sephora and retails for CAD $33.00 / US $26.00.
