Natural skin care products are now becoming more and more popular and although I have being using them for years, I love finding really incredible brands that works well. Farmacy is a skincare brand that uses natural ingredients to offer high quality beauty products and one of their latest product is their hydrating essence mist* that tones the skin, restores radiance, and freshens the skin while also setting makeup. Everyone has been talking about facial mists for a bit now and there are quite a few out there on the market. Hydrating face mists offers many benefits such as hydrating the skin, keeping your makeup fresh and also help to balance the oil production in oily skin.
Farmacy Beauty’s new dual-action invigorating essence helps replenish radiance and moisture, while also setting makeup – resulting in fresh, radiant skin. It protects and soothes the skin, provides an overall sense of wellbeing and freshens makeup on contact. The vitalizing and energizing mist contains a natural polymer (glycerin), which acts as a natural humectant, helping attract moisture to the skin and providing hydrating effects for a moist, supple skin surface. A blend of essential oils, including Rosemary, Bergamot and Peppermint, provides a fresh and energizing aroma while Kiwi Fruit Extract, rich in Vitamin C, Potassium, and Magnesium, protects the skin from the damaging effects of pollution and helps improve the skin’s barrier function.

To use, hold the nozzle about eight inches from the skin and gently spray across the face. Start at the forehead and work down to the chin. Brighten up your morning by applying either before or after moisturizing. Retain that refreshing feeling by reapplying throughout the day to rejuvenate your makeup and seal in freshness.
I love spritzing this prior to applying my serum. When I think of a hydrating essence, I think of something that is going to hydrate my dry skin, and help my serum/moisturizer work better by boosting their moisturizing benefits. As a setting spray, I expect this to set the make-up, prevent sweat and prolong makeup wear time and this does a wonderful job of all of these things. This feels hydrating and refreshing and does exactly what it says. It gives a natural glow and is a refreshing pick me up. Unlike some setting sprays this is in no way drying or uncomfortable to wear. After I apply my makeup, I gently mist on to lock everything in place all day. I also find that Farmacy Skin Dew Hydrating Essence Mist & Setting Spray* is great for preventing makeup from looking cakey and also refreshes and cool the skin throughout the day. Overall, it is a really good setting spray, and I feel like my makeup does last a long time. This also puts out a good solid mist but I couldn’t say the sprayer is a fine mist as I wish it came out a little finer. It has a minty natural earthy scent that smells fresh, but it doesn’t last long. If you like minty scent then you will love this. After trying this out, I am excited to try other products from the line.
