Can we just take a minute to realize that spring is almost here which means warmer weather? Yay! This was a short month that went by pretty quickly. With spring around the corner, it means new makeup trends but I’ve been rediscovering a bit of old favorites again this month as well as shopping my stash. So let’s get into it!
I’ve being keeping it real simple and neutral with eye makeup this past month and not really doing much and that’s where these single shadows from MAC comes in. The ones I grab the most are MAC Saddle for my transition/crease color, Ricepaper for the brow bone and inner tear duct and Amber lights for the lids. I forgot how much I love these simple neutral shades; they’re awesome when you don’t want to do too much with the eyes!
I have been mixing blushes a lot lately, which isn’t something I often do but I love mixing Makeup Geek Romance and Smitten together OR MAC Melba and Makeup Geek Romance. These blushes are beautiful, pigmented and blends beautifully on the skin. These colors are just perfection on the cheeks and gives a spring feel as well. Guess, I’m already transitioning into spring makeup looks.
Skinny Coconut Oil* – I’ve been using coconut oil for years now, as a body moisturizer and even to cook. My sister who is a vegan, uses coconut oil religiously. This one is 100 percent pure, raw and crafted without heat processing. I use it mostly as a body moisturizer, hair mask and for my cuticles. It is very hydrating and soft and absorbed very quickly.
L’Oréal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation – I have been loving this foundation. I was a huge fan of the L’Oréal True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Foundation and I even finished an entire bottle. This foundation is lightweight and hydrating with a luminous finish. I currently wear the shade N4 which is a decent match for me. I previously reviewed shade N5.5 but that was too yellow and W5.5 was too dark. If you are able to find a good color match and you like a glowy finish, then this is a great drugstore foundation. I have a review that you can check out here.
Another foundation that I discovered and love is the CHANEL Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation (review here). This is a lovely light to medium foundation that has a fresh natural radiant finish. It looks and feels like skin and gives a glow without feeling sticky.
Jouviance Skin Rescue Intense Repair Cream* – This product has been such a savior this month. I discovered this earlier this month and it’s a great one to pull out when my skin is feeling dry because it is ideal for dry and cold climates. It has a light and non-greasy formula that helps restore skin’s hydrolipidic barrier that immediately soothes dry and irritated skin. I use this at night and I love that it is quite nourishing on the skin.
Couple lippie loves this month goes out to Maybelline Colour Elixir in Celestial Coral and Laura Mercier Lip Parfait Creamy Colourbalm in Raspberry Ripple. These lip glosses from Maybelline are my favorites from the drugstore. They have the right amount of glossy shine that isn’t sticky with great pigmentation. They are great for throwing on when you’re in a rush but still looks pretty! The Laura Mercier Lip Parfaits are beautiful lipsticks that are light and very hydrating texture with lots of pigment. I am impressed with the two shades I tried so far and I love them as they’re not drying and have a good wear time.
What are you loving this month? And are you excited for spring and all the new trends?
xx
