Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder (US $37.00 & CAD $46.00 for 1 oz.) is a finely milled, lightweight, smooth, and silky loose powder with a very soft focus finish. It has a light beige color that blends nicely into the skin.
It is so lightweight, sheer and silky, you can barely see it because it contains the finest French “cashmere” talc and a unique light-reflecting ingredient that creates a “soft-focus” appearance for fine lines and imperfections. It sets my BB Creams, Tint Moisturizers and Foundation nicely without caking. Because it is translucent and it has no pigment, it will not distort the color of your makeup; instead it will leave your skin looking natural while creating a flawless finish that is never cakey or powdery.
I love it because it is perfect to just set your makeup and to dust off shine and best of all it is non-drying which makes it excellent on dry and normal skin types. I like using this with a big fluffy brush and dusting all over the face and neck. It wore very well on my combination/dry skin for about six hours before I started to get a bit oily in my T-zone.
It is only available in Translucent color, which is transparent and ideal for all skin tones and comes in a plastic jar with a shimmery dark brown lid. This size does not come with a puff; however, the smaller size of 0.33 oz comes with a puff.
