Fresh is a brand well-known and revered for creating skincare that combines potent natural ingredients, ancient rituals and modern science. And it’s no secret what a huge fan of the brand I am. I have literally gone through several tubes of their Soy Cleansers, Lip Treatments as well as their Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream. I have pretty much used and is still using majority of their skincare and body-care products including their fragrances. There’s isn’t anything I don’t like from this brand. Recently, the brand introduced their newest technology, the nighttime moisturizer, Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Dream Face Cream. Developed using the natural, youth-enhancing properties of a whole and living lotus plant, this whipped moisturizer sinks in like a dream and smells like a fresh peach, thanks to revitalizing peach extract.
Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream – $58.00
The Lotus Youth Preserve Moisturizer has been an all-time favorite and one that I have repurchased multiple times and have gone through a few tubs. Moisturizers in general are tricky for my skin type since I am combo/dry with dehydrated skin. My skin can get really dry and flaky with extreme heat and air conditioners but I am also prone to getting oily in the T-zone and breakouts on occasion; so sometimes finding that one moisturizer that is hydrating enough but not heavy has always been a challenge but I have luckily found several that I love. This one is pure love. It features maca root extract, antioxidant lotus root extract and vitamin E in Fresh’s Super 7 Complex. Super 7 Complex: A blend of seven super-charged ingredients that helps to hydrate, improve radiance, and promote a youthful-looking complexion, including lotus flower extract, AND Maca Root Extract: Helps boost luminosity.
This is a lightweight moisturizer which is a less intense version of the night cream, and it leaves the skin feeling very moisturized all day but has a lightweight finish. I can wear it under makeup without my face becoming oily or shiny. I absolutely love this moisturizer!
Lotus Youth Preserve Dream Night Cream – C$60.00
This is a lightweight whipped antioxidant night cream that helps detoxify while minimizing signs of aging. It is enriched with Super Lotus: Captures the multi-benefit properties of the entire lotus plant in one power ingredient that helps to hydrate, boost radiance, and deliver antioxidant protection; AND Peach Leaf Extract: Helps skin look and feel refreshed overnight.
My skin has been extremely dry because of the weather but this cream soaks right into my skin. This nighttime moisturizer works when skin is more receptive to nourishment – so you wake up with a rested, brighter look. It brightens, hydrates, and helps skin bounce back after a rough day, all while reducing the signs of skin stress and fatigue that have been acquired throughout the day.
I wake up with smoother and well-rested looking skin. It truly does a good job at keeping skin hydrated and removes any tight feeling you might have from dryness. I only need a small amount but you can definitely apply as much as needed depending on your skin type. It’s non-irritating, did not clog my pores, and it doesn’t have a strong scent (it smells wonderful) so it doesn’t interfere with my sleep. It’s lightweight, so I feel like I can use it year around. Overall, Lotus Dream Face Cream is an excellent nighttime moisturizer!
For the face creams, I can’t say I have a favorite of the two. They’re both very hydrating and suits my skin very well and the price points of both is a lot easier to swallow for luxury skincare. The main difference is that the Lotus Face Cream is a daytime moisture for hydrated, soft skin. You wear during the day for youth-preserving moisture and makeup prep; while the Lotus Dream Cream is an overnight protection for rested, recharged skin. You wear while you sleep for antioxidant protection and overnight recovery.
You can find both Fresh’s Lotus Face Creams at Sephora.
Have you tried either of these as yet?
