Givenchy introduced their new Prisme Libre Skin-Care Matte Foundation a couple month ago. My apologies for not getting the review up sooner, but with travelling and moving, it took some time. I have a look at this new launch for you today.
With the Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Matte, Givenchy reveals a natural matte foundation with 82% skincare ingredients and a 97% natural origin formula, offering exceptional results: 24-hour matte finish, 24-hour corrected complexion, 24-hour blurring effect. The range of Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Matte has been developed in harmony with the powders. Each shade matches one of the six loose powders.
The collection comes in 35 shades to cover all skin tones. It is a medium to full buildable coverage with some notable highlights of the product:
-Capucine extract promotes oxygenation and boosts cellular metabolism-boosting radiance
-Purifying properties
-Pink clay purifies the skin
-Annatto extract encourages skin clarity over time and helps to reduce the appearance of pores
-Excellent for oily or those with struggles balancing their skin. Skin can improve over time.
It does have a lightweight texture with a satin matte finish. I am in the shade 4-W307 (medium with warm honey undertones) and it matches me very well. It has great coverage, covers beautifully and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. It did not irritate my skin and it blends really nicely. Formula is buildable without feeling cakey. It evens out the skin, leaves a smooth finish, doesn’t crease or transfer, looks natural. Even in humid warm weather it wears nicely on me when set with a powder otherwise it can become a little greasy looking within a few hours. I’m not a huge fan of matte foundations and don’t own too many since I have dry skin but this one, I really like a lot. The bottle is a beautiful frosted glass bottle.
Overall, very impressed and love this formula. You can find the new Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Matte Foundation online and in-store at all Givenchy counters at Sephora and Holt Renfrew.
