Glowing with Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare
Another month, another school year! My little ones started the new school year today and I’m particular excited as my 4 year old started JK today while my 7.5 year old started Grade 3! I was going to do my August favorites today but that will be up on Wednesday, alas, another skincare post! As I’ve gotten older, skincare has become very important to me and while I’m no expert with skincare ingredients (at all), I do know to a certain degree what ingredients and formulas to avoid for my skin. I rely on online reviews and personal testing to determine what works for me. So having a good skincare routine is important as it not only helps to keep our skin in better condition, but it gives our skin a youthful glow, and reduce the signs of ageing.
I was first introduced to Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare when I received a sample packet of the Original Daily Peel from Sephora as a point perk and fell in love. I have since purchased the packets and whenever these are available as point perks on the Sephora website, I always make a few orders just so I can throw them in my checkout basket. Beloved by many, this system of activator/neutralizer pads gently slough off skin cells and brighten by increasing cell turnover.
These are a two-step anti-aging facial peels that reduces fine lines and wrinkles, assist skin that is very rough, dry, or dull, enlarged pores, fights blemishes and helps with dark spots and redness. The peels are packaged in a box of individual packets of pre-soaked cloths—Step 1 is the exfoliant, while Step 2 is a “firm and lift” treatment. I’ve been using the Alpha Beta Peels for a few months and they’re one of my favorite skincare products to use.
STEP ONE is packed with rejuvenating, powerful, yet gentle exfoliating acids. STEP TWO controls the alpha hydroxy acid activity, delivers antiaging actives, nourishes, and keeps skin balanced, smooth, and radiant.
Alpha Beta Ultra Gentle Daily Peel for Sensitive Skin
This one is designed for sensitive skin, contains three gentle acids, anti-agers, and soothing botanicals to exfoliate and nourish fragile skin and combat three common signs of aging: uneven skin tone and texture, fine lines and wrinkles, and enlarged pores.
Alpha Beta Universal (Original) Daily Peel (my favorite)
This is a daily peel formulated to treat three common signs of aging: uneven tone and texture, fine lines and wrinkles, and enlarged pores, with five acids – without causing irritation.
Alpha Beta Peel Extra Strength Daily Peel (too strong)
With this extra strength version containing seven acids, it also combats three common signs of aging: uneven skin tone and texture, fine lines and wrinkles, and enlarged pores.
Although I have been using these for a few months now (on/off), I really can’t say whether or not I have seen any reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. However, they do an amazing job of gently buffing and exfoliating the skin, minimizing the appearance of pores, and evening-out my skintone for a radiant complexion. With the exception of the Extra Strength Peel (I had some burning with this one and I suspect that is because it contains seven acids that is just a little too strong for my skin), I also did not get any irritation, dryness or experience any breakouts from using these. I exfoliate at least once a week so these are perfect for that and they leave skin texture soft, bright and toned.
Sephora carries 5 treatment packs if you want to try one of the three peeling pads (depending on your skin type) first and see if they work for your skin before investing in the 30 or 60 packs, which is on the pricey side but the results in my opinion are worth it!
Have you tried these Alpha Beta Peels before? What are your favorite Peels to use?
xo ❤
