Hourglass recently launched their new ambient lighting bronzers; these are the newest addition to the Ambient Lighting range. They are formulated with Photoluminescent Technology, featuring optically transparent particles that transform the look of skin by manipulating and refracting light to emphasize your best features. The optically transparent particles allow for seamless blending and color transitions. There are two shades available, Luminous Bronze Light and Radiant Bronze Light.
Luminous Bronze Light is described as a medium tan shade fused with Luminous Light, a champagne pearl powder, for a softer candlelit warmth. Ideal for fair/light complexions.
Radiant Bronze Light is described as a warm bronze shade fused with Radiant Light, a golden beige powder, to mimic a summer glow. Ideal for medium/deep complexions.
Hourglass Ambient Bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light (US $50.00, CAD $60.00):
I got the Luminous Bronze Light as it is slightly lighter than the Radiant Bronze Light. It is more neutral, while the Radiant one has an orange tint to it. It has wonderful pigmentation and the texture is very smooth and silky just like the Ambient Lighting Powders (review). On my medium/olive skin tone, it shows up very well even though it is meant for fair/light skin tones. I think both bronzers will be equally suitable for all skin tones/complexions. It just depends on what look you are trying to achieve. It adds just the right amount of warmth and glow. When you look in the pan, you will see some specks of shimmer but those doesn’t transfer on the skin nor does it emphasize pores. I love how it just gives the right amount of shimmer and glow that deliver a natural-looking, sunkissed glow while displaying depth and dimension. I like using it as a blush to give some warmth to the face or layered beneath or on top of a blush. This can definitely be build up to full coverage if you want a noticeable color or sheered out for lighter coverage, again, it all depends on the look you are going for. These will instantly brighten dull skin. It wore very well on my skin and lasted for about 7-8 hours.
I should also mentioned that the packaging is stunning, it is the same rose gold color as the Ambient blushes (review). It also comes with a hefty price and in my opinion, I think it is a bit overpriced. Overall rating: 4.4/5
