And here are my thoughts—they cover my dark circles and hides my dark spots like magic.
Givenchy Beauty and IT Cosmetics both launched a new concealer recently and I’ve been testing them for the last few weeks.
Concealer is one of those products that is beloved by many beauty influencers—a good one will cover dark circles, blemishes, and uneven tone wherever you need it, enhancing your appearance whether you go for a natural makeup look or something bolder.
Givenchy Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Concealer ($37 USD/$48 CAD – 0.37 oz) is a revolutionary, hydrating, 24-hour wear concealer formulated with 95 percent natural-origin ingredients that conceals, corrects, and cares for skin. I was sent the shade W310 – medium with warm undertones. Based on the swatches below and after testing this I think the shade choice is a good one that I will be able to use even throughout summer. It could be a little lighter but it works very well for my skintone.
The formula is liquid/cream with medium coverage and a radiant finish. It feels weightless once blended and feels lovely and hydrating on the skin. I don’t need a lot of coverage under the eyes so this is perfect for me but if you’re more of a full coverage person, this may not be enough for you, although I think it’s buildable.
I really love the texture of this concealer. It really melts into the skin effortlessly and gives a lovely smooth and plumped finish. Formulated with plant-based glycerin, capucine extract and cornflower complex, it adds radiance and enhances natural glow of complexion and offers amazing hydration and maintains skin’s moisture barrier.
Encased in a sculptural design embellished with the signature 4G monogram, Prisme Libre Skin Caring Concealer is the ideal couture accessory. Thanks to its ample size, it can be used as both a concealer and corrector and also an all-over hybrid foundation. This handy format provides on-the-go use, making it perfect for touch-ups at any time of day. The innovative petal-shaped applicator holds a generous amount of formula when used flat, while enabling precise application with the tip.
If you have a dry or mature skin type, I think you will love it as it doesn’t emphasize fine lines or look dry. It delivers a beautiful, creamy texture that blends out effortlessly.
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Dark Spots Concealer + Serum with Niacinamide & Hyaluronic Acid ($30 USD/$40 CAD – 0.22 oz) is a concealer and serum that provides instant medium coverage and clinically fades the look of dark spots and other skin texture concerns over time. I was sent the shade Medium Warm 32 – medium complexion with olive yellow undertone. Based on the swatches below and after testing this I think the shade choice for concealer is a perfect shade.
This two-for-one concealer is a great option and it comes with a dense brush on the opposite end that makes blending easy. Tap it on with the doe-foot applicator, then flip to the kabuki concealer brush for flawless blending—even when you’re on the go! The formula is lightweight and creamy. It’s a medium-coverage with a natural finish. It can be used all over or as a spot concealer, or layered well under or over makeup, and is suitable for sensitive skin. It goes on smoothly and looks like natural skin. It doesn’t highlight texture at all. Not cakey, not dry, with very minimal creasing.
This concealer contains one-of-a-kind skin-brightening ingredients and is formulated with 2% niacinamide to help skin look more even-toned & minimizes the look of dark spots; hyaluronic acid to help support skin elasticity & plumpness and caffeine to help skin look brighter. You’ll still need to use skincare to help get rid of hyper-pigmentation but this concealer helps a bit too.
Overall, I’m really happy with both of these new concealers. The Givenchy is best for all-over spot concealing for me because of the shade and the IT Cosmetics works great for brightening my undereyes. You can find them at Sephora.
