K18’s New FutureIQ Serum Is Bringing the Hair Longevity Conversation to Your Scalp

K18 FutureIQ Hair Longevity Serum: Everything to Know About the New Launch

K18’s New FutureIQ Serum Is Bringing the Hair Longevity Conversation to Your Scalp K18 FutureIQ Biomimetic Hair Longevity Serum is the brand’s newest approach to shedding, graying and scalp aging.

Haircare has spent years talking about repairing damage, protecting against heat and keeping strands looking healthy. K18 is now turning its attention to something a little different: hair longevity.

The brand has just introduced FutureIQ™ Biomimetic Hair Longevity Serum, a lightweight scalp serum designed to address several signs associated with premature hair aging, including shedding, graying and changes to the scalp.

I haven’t tried FutureIQ yet, so this isn’t a review. But as someone who has used and genuinely loved other K18 products especially the Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask and Molecular Repair Hair Oil, this is a launch that caught my attention.K18’s New FutureIQ Serum Is Bringing the Hair Longevity Conversation to Your Scalp

What Is K18 FutureIQ?

FutureIQ is K18’s newest scalp-focused treatment and is built around the idea that visible signs of hair aging can begin before we necessarily notice them.

According to K18, the serum is designed to work across several biological pathways associated with premature hair aging rather than focusing on just one concern. Its proprietary MultiVital™ technology combines biomimetic peptides, a root-anchoring complex and antioxidants.

The goal is to help reduce shedding, delay the appearance of grays and support scalp health over time.

And importantly, this isn’t positioned as a traditional styling product or another product simply designed to make hair look fuller temporarily. K18 is approaching it from the scalp and follicle side of the equation.

What Does the Formula Do?

The formula contains ingredients including niacinamide, biomimetic peptides, zinc and antioxidant-supporting components, alongside K18’s MultiVital technology.

K18 says the serum is intended to support the biological processes involved in hair retention, pigmentation and protection against oxidative stress.

The brand’s 12-week clinical study reported several results, including reduced hair fall, improved scalp barrier, increased density and fewer visible grays in some participants. K18 reports up to 19,000 more hairs for fuller-looking hair and says 70% of participants showed fewer grays at 12 weeks.

Those are K18’s reported clinical results, rather than results I can personally speak to yet.

Who Is It For?

FutureIQ is specifically designed for people experiencing signs of what K18 describes as premature hair and scalp aging.

The brand says it works best for people with less than 30% gray hair and minimal to moderate shedding. It’s also designed for all hair types and textures.

What I find interesting is the idea of approaching hair aging before it becomes a much bigger visible concern. It’s a slightly different conversation from the usual “fix the damage” approach we’ve become accustomed to in haircare.

The Details

FutureIQ is a 90 mL serum intended for nightly scalp use. K18 says one bottle is approximately a one-month supply.

It’s currently listed at US$120 and CAD$172.

For me, the interesting part isn’t the promise of turning back time, it’s K18 applying its biotech-focused approach to something beyond existing hair damage.

I’ve had a great experience with the K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask, so I’m definitely curious to see where the brand takes this next.

FutureIQ is available through K18 and Sephora, although availability can vary by market.
