Beet The Sun is Back
In case you haven’t heard, KraveBeauty best selling sunscreen “Beet The Sun SPF 40 PA+++” is back.
Krave Beauty discontinued their first version of the product in 2021 due to widespread challenges in the sunscreen industry. The new Beet The Sun is super charged with beetroot extract to help skin fight against free radicals and protect against harmful UV rays.
On why it took so long to come out with Beet The Sun – founder and CEO Liah Yoo stated the following on the brand’s website: “The process to create a sunscreen takes longer compared to other skincare products – 22 months for SPF formulations vs. 10 months for other products. We wanted Beet The Sun to perform as well as its predecessor, but using FDA-approved filters meant we had to do a lot of brainstorming.”
“We conducted a total of 6 tests: 2 FDA Broad Spectrum Tests, 2 FDA SPF Static Tests, 1 ISO 24444 (2019 version) and 1 ISO 24442.”
With skin-loving ingredients such as beetroot extract, vitamin E, hyaluronic acid, propanediol and homosalate 10%, it’s a barely there chemical sunscreen that’s vegan and cruelty-free. The upgrade states that it is lightweight, has no white cast, blends seamlessly into any skin tone and has no greasiness.
KraveBeauty’s “Beet The Sun” sunscreen retails for $20 USD and is available at the brand’s website.
