I must have been living under a rock because why haven’t I heard of these L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Gloss? I was in Walmart a few days ago just before leaving on my Barbados trip for something unrelated to makeup but of course like we all do, I had to wander on over to the beauty isle to see what’s new and that is when I found these L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Gloss. On the display, it says it was new but how new?, I’m not sure. I really need to visit my local drugstores more often because it looks like I keep missing all the new releases. Anywho, I was curious about the formula since I hadn’t heard anything about this before (at least I don’t think I have) so I decided to grab one out of the 10 available shades in 316 Statement Nude.
These are apparently a new permanent addition to the Infallible line. They are the very first long wear whipped matte lip colour that acts as a moisturizing gloss but wears like a matte lipstick. They come in sleek curved tubes with a sponge-tipped applicator, and have an opening in the middle which allows the applicator to hold product.
“Statement Nude” is a gorgeous pinkish-brown nude shade. These are a non-sticky gloss with a semi-matte finish; not a true matte. They offer the convenience of a lipgloss and the popular matte look without the dry texture of a liquid lipstick. They have a thin creamy velvety texture which glides smoothly on the lips and gives a lovely semi-matte finish with the added plus of a demi-gloss finish. They do not contain any shimmer and the pigmentation is very opaque. What’s great about the formula too is that it does not feel drying at all but instead feels smooth on the lips, and are comfortable to wear. They do not accentuate fine lines or lips natural texture and you will not experience any feathering. I was able to get a good wear time of about 5 hours if I didn’t eat or drink. I know there are many girls who doesn’t like wearing lip-gloss because of that sticky feeling but these are a great option because they are not sticky at all. Once applied you can barely feel them on and you will almost forget you are wearing anything at all. I really recommend trying these out as I think the formula is a thumbs up! I just love that they leave a smooth, soft finish to the lips that never feels dry or cakey. The formula is not transfer-resistant and they have that L’Oreal lip product scent.
The L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Gloss retails for CAD $13.99! Update: I did go back and pick up 300 Blushing Ambition a couple days later after I photograph these pics because I like the formula that much. It’s just an easy everyday formula to wear. Blushing Ambition is a beautiful warm medium pink shade.
Has anyone tried these? What do you think of the formula?
