As mentioned in my NARS Steven Klein Single Eyeshadows Review, for their Holiday 2015 Collection, NARS collaborated with iconic fashion photographer Steven Klein to create the Fantascene collection, a collection where “exquisite fantasy played to extremes” is featured. Steven Klein is known for his edgy, provocative work and this NARS collection is very edgy. Today’s final review from the collection is on the Vengeful Dual-Intensity Blush.Vengeful Dual-Intensity Blush is described as a White-gold highlight / Shimmering brick red. The highlight shade I would describe more as a champagne gold and both shades has finely milled shimmer in them. The gold highlight shade is stunning while the warm rustic brick red blush is perfect for Fall and will help you transition into the winter. The colors are soft, smooth, highly pigmented, and intense. This dual-intensity blush is uniquely formulated with NARS’s exclusive Translucent Prismatic Technology, which allows for multidimensional effects. Designed to be wet or dry, the shades can also be worn alone or layered together for a variety of looks. Apply these shades wet to achieve a high-impact flush or dry to get a natural-looking glow. I have never actually used this wet because these blushes are already so pigmented, you need to apply with a light hand and build up the color as desired. These are beautiful colors that looks amazing on the skin. The White-gold highlight can definitely be used alone in a highlighter capacity because it is so gorgeous or you can swirl both shades together for a lustrous, multidimensional glow. For a watercolor effect, mist brush with water before application. For the cheeks, I used the Shimmering brick red and then I used the highlighter side to highlight my cheekbones, inner corner of my eyes, and the center of my nose. It gives such a beautiful combination and the cheek color really goes well with everything and any eye look. They blend easily and last throughout the day.
The NARS Steven Klein Collection is still available at NARS, The Bay, Holt Renfrew and Sephora.
