The latest skincare products I’ll be sharing my thoughts on are from Nip + Fab, the more affordable sister brand of Rodial! I’ve always heard great things about this brand and oh was I excited when I got to try out their NEW Kale Fix line, a gentle and nourishing range packed with superfood ingredients kale and watercress to reinvigorate the skin with vitamins to protect against free radical damage and soften and hydrate dry skin; so it is ideal for dry and dehydrated skin. Nip + Fab is a UK based skin and body care company.
KALE FIX MAKE-UP REMOVING PADS
When I received the care package, the first thing I tried were these makeup removing pads. These cleansing pads are gentle enough to use around the eyes, and are enriched with superfood ingredients kale and watercress extracts to remove daily dirt and makeup whilst reinvigorating the skin with vitamins A, C and K to protect against free radical damage and retaining skin softness and elasticity; whilst allantoin complex softens the skin.
Often cleansing pads can leave skin feeling dry, tight and stripped, but these little ultra-moisturising cleansing pads are super gentle, softens dry skin with a non-abrasive texture and has a mild fresh clean scent (it smells like all things green… green kale; but wonderful). I still like to cleanse with my micellar water but these are great to follow up to get any additional residue off. What was also great about these is that they did not burn or sting my eyes, huge plus! The only thing is I wish they weren’t so small or thin but they work wonderfully. You get 60 pads in the container!
This is a daily moisturiser to help soften and comfort dry skin. It contains kale, watercress and almond oil which enrich skin with deep vitamin nourishment and protects against external aggressions that can cause dry skin. Concentrated aloe vera and shea butter help to further sooth and improve skin texture, providing long-lasting hydration. I would say this moisturizer is on the slightly thicker side and it just leaves skin feeling hydrated and smooth. It’s a beautiful rich creamy texture that creates the perfect base for foundation making it my current go to moisturizer in the mornings and daytime in general. It is very nourishing but also soothing at the same time.
While this is not a part of the Kale Fix line, I was also sent this so I thought I would include it in today’s review. Tummy Fix uses a revolutionary formula to improve skin’s tone and texture around the abdomen area for a more firm and sculpted looking abdomen. The formula uses a variety of active ingredients that activate the breakdown of lipids in fat cells to help firm and tone the skin for more refined body contours. It contains coriander extract – sculpts + promotes elasticity; sweet orange – smoothes + helps skin appears firmer and lecithin – softens + hydrates.
This is not a cream, it’s more of a gel and a liquid consistency, almost clear with a lovely fresh scent. It is quite cooling on the skin, which would be refreshing in summer. I found it lovely to use, but can’t say that I noticed a difference in the firmness of my skin although skin texture has improved. I would say that if you are looking for a flat stomach, this cream is not the magical answer. I did find that it left my skin feeling soft, smooth and fresh, but personally did not notice much difference with the tone. I really would recommend applying this morning and night to see and feel a real difference and if you’re looking to smooth, soften and hydrate your stomach then this is definitely a product to try. I also think along with exercise and healthy eating, Tummy Fix is a perfect product to help with a firm and sculpted looking abdomen.
