PIXI ROSE CAVIAR ESSENCE AND ROSE FLASH BALM

PIXI ROSE CAVIAR ESSENCE AND ROSE FLASH BALM

Not long ago, Pixi launched two new skincare must-haves inspired by beautiful rose-toned colours and softness. I’ve been using these two products for the last three months and have even completely used up one of them. There’s the Rose Caviar Essence — a moisturizing, brightening serum with rose oil — and Rose Flash Balm — a multipurpose moisturizer with rose extract that also works as a primer and face mask.

PIXI ROSE CAVIAR ESSENCE AND ROSE FLASH BALM

Rose Caviar Essence: This serum-essence was formulated with antioxidant rich natural oils to soften, refine and tone the skin delivering fresh botanicals to hydrate and restore skin’s brightness for optimum radiance.  Rose Caviar Essence are encapsulated flower oils containing Ylang Ylang, Rose Geranium, and Damascus Rose to hydrate and revitalize skin.

I have thoroughly enjoy this Rose Caviar Essence and I have now used up the entire tube. I love how lightweight it is yet so hydrating at the same time. There is no greasiness to it, absorbs nicely into the skin and it just leaves your complexion feeling soft and hydrated, with a lovely light rose scent. I used this mainly as part of my morning skincare routine as my skin needs more moisturizing than I felt this could offer at night. Nevertheless, it’s an excellent skin-treat that calms, soothes and is quite refreshing with a lovely cooling effect. Plus, it is light enough that you can add products on it afterwards.

PIXI ROSE CAVIAR ESSENCE AND ROSE FLASH BALM

Rose Flash Balm: Is your 3-in-1 instant skin booster that moisturizes and brightens tired, lackluster skin. It’s a moisturizer, makeup primer and mask all in one! Infused with Rose Water to balance and Rose Extract to soothe and minimise redness, this radiance-boosting balm is the ultimate pick-me-up for tired, lackluster skin helping with signs of fatigue in a flash. This reminds me of the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm that I like very much.

From my experience using the Rose Flash Balm as a mask and a primer (I know it will never work as a moisturizer for my dry/combo skin so I haven’t tried it as that), it is fantastic as a primer and I find that I prefer using it in this fashion. Right after I moisturizer my face, I apply this as a primer, before my makeup. I like the way it makes my skin look and feel and it doesn’t leave an oily residue behind and quickly absorbs into the skin. I also think that it makes my pores look a bit smaller and it really does help even out your skin! My makeup last all day and still looks fresh at the end of the day.

To use as a mask, apply a thick layer and leave on for 5 minutes and remove with a warm cloth. I do this on occasion but as I said above, I mainly use this as a primer most days.

You can find them now at Shoppers Drug Mart and online.

Have you tried any of these?
