Sharing a quick little review on one of the new lip and cheek colors from Rhode that was launched for summer – the Pocket Blush and Peptide Lip Tint. I only picked up one duo.

Rhode’s Pocket Blushes come in six shades and as of writing this post, there’s now a limited-edition shade as well. The shades ranges from bright, punchy corals and true pinks to earthy mauves.

I picked up the peach duo set. The Pocket Blush has a twist up base. I tested out the shade Freckle, a flattering peach tone. The formula contains nourishing ingredients and a dewy satin finish. Pigment is bold with one swipe and it looks like you can get a good medium coverage. It is so creamy, feels so lightweight, so buildable and blends like a dream. Rhode’s Pocket Blush is perfection on its own with its long-wearing color payoff and moisture to match. I usually prefer creams in the cooler months as I find them a little challenging in humid hot weather but these have held up pretty good.

If you have oily skin, you may find these blushes just a tad bit too emollient to wear but if you’re on the normal or dry shin type like myself, you’ll love the beautiful finish it gives. I find that using your finger tips like your ring finger or even a densely-bristled blush brush works just as well. Here are the shades:

  • Piggy is a baby pink
  • Juice Box is a hot pink
  • Spicy Marg is a bright coral
  • Freckle is a natural peach
  • Sleepy Girl is a soft mauve
  • Toasted Teddy is a bronze terracotta
  • Sprinkle is a warm pearly pink (LE)

This is my first time trying these lip balms and I love them. I tried in the past to purchase a couple shades but they were always sold out, at least the ones I wanted. The shade I have pull on the sheer side and honestly, I was hoping for a bit more pigment but the color I have is really pretty. It is not sticky which is a plus for me and feels really nice on the lips. As a lip gloss lover, I like these especially because of the glossy finish. The colors in the duo include:

  • Shortcake a cool pink
  • Peach Pit a sheer peach
  • Guava Spritz is a coral pink
  • Salty Tan a sheer mauve

Rhode’s Pocket Blush, the lip tint and duos are available to shop now at Rhodeskin.com ranging from $18- $24.
