Rodial does it again with three new shades of the XXL Lip Liner that work great as a nude lip alone, or also work as a base for your favourite lippie. These tinted lip liners are long-lasting, waterproof and plumping. The plumping complex, featuring the Vegetal Filling Spheres and Hyaluronic Acid make lips appear smoother and plumped proving long-lasting hydration.
The three new shades are:
PHOTOSHOOT – a natural & fresh brown
STREET STYLE – a dusky pink with a hint of brown
BEHIND THE SCENES – a strong dusty rose
I love the names of these. These are long-wear pencils with rich pigment and doesn’t feather. All three are cream shades without any shimmer and are the perfect modern nudes. In terms of wear, they glide on well although they aren’t super emollient or creamy, but once you apply on the lips they go on nicely and with full coverage. Lasting power is very good.
I must admit that I don’t reach for lip pencils on a daily basis…yes, I’m too lazy and most times I forget. Lip liners help with definition but also prolong the wear of your lipstick. A lip liner is great for dark and red lip colors because it’s easier to define the lips first and get precise lines and then apply your lipstick.
The formula of these XXL Lip Liner is very nice. If your lips aren’t dry, they don’t skip or tug the lips but they’re not excessively creamy that they smear. They feel comfortable on the lips and not drying. I recommend you apply some kind of lip primer or balm underneath if you want to wear them all over the lip. The intensity can emphasize lip lines if you use it all over. I recommend using these as a traditional lip liner around the edges and blended slightly. I do wish these were twist-ups though. Like I mentioned above, I tend to neglect lip liners as I’m usually a swipe and go kind of lip person and if I do reach for any lip pencils they’re usually my Bite Beauty The Lip Pencil which are one of my favorite lip pencils to wear. However, these lip liners are fun, and go really well with almost all of my nude lipsticks and helps to extend the wear.
