Shoes are the basis of nearly every women’s wardrobe. Let’s face it: we love shoes, and we buy loads of them. However, just as with all fashion trends, there are some shoes we end up wearing more than others. Here’s how to distinguish the good from the bad, and make sure you have these must-have shoes in your collection. So check out below The Four Shoes Every Woman Needs In Her Wardrobe:
The Nude Heel
A good pair of heels is vital for setting off a formal outfit. The heel doesn’t have to be six inches high to constitute ‘good’. It is much better to go with a height that you feel comfortable in, and can walk in. If you feel like you need a little more support when you are wearing high shoes, go for a chunkier heel. Your foot will be spread over a greater surface area than if you were wearing a stiletto, making it more comfortable to wear. Choosing a heel in a nude colour means that it will go with pretty much every outfit you have, and it makes a nice change from black. A nude heel also creates something of an optical illusion against your skin tone, making your legs look longer.
The Black Boot
A good pair of black boots is a must in every woman’s wardrobe. Leather ones tend to last the longest, but if wearing leather isn’t your thing, there are plenty of good faux leather ones on the market too. Suede is also a popular material for black boots, but you will need to take care of it properly with various sprays to ensure it doesn’t fade. Get your black boots with a low heel – that way they can easily take you from day to night. Part of the reason they are such a good investment is because they can be worn all year round. They are perfect for everyday wear during winter, and can be work with skirts or dresses in the summer to channel your inner rock chick.
The Jazzy Ballet Pump
Sometimes, you’ll have a night out planned – but the thought of wearing a pair of heels fills you with dread. This is why it’s always worth having a pair of chic flat shoes in your wardrobe, just in case you need both feet firmly on the ground! There are many different variations out there, whether you want something strappy or just want to stick with the simple, slip-on style. If bought from the high street, ballet pumps are generally quite cheap, so you can have a few pairs to go with different outfits. Watch out for opportunities to get some money off, such as a 6 PM coupon.
The Comfy Sandal
Ever been walking around during the summer nursing a bad blister? If you have no idea how you got it, chances are it was from a bad pair of sandals. As we only wear sandals in sunny weather, we tend to a habit of buying a new pair every year. Unfortunately, most high street designs come with a very thin sole – focusing on style rather than comfort. Shop around various shoe stores until you find a pair that are fashionable, but that won’t rip your feet to shreds.
What kind of shoes are you guys planning on adding to your wardrobe this season?
