This is a post that should’ve been up since the first week in December but you know with the holidays, everything gets a little bit crazy and out of whack. Now that the holidays are over, I’m trying to get back into somewhat of a normal routine but it’s been quite busy on my end.

So we know that Tom Ford recently released their Lips and Boys Lipsticks again which is great news for those who missed out on the first release. There are 25 new shades and 25 repromoted shades. There are many blogs out there where you can find swatches of all shades if you want to see what they all look like; but I’m excited to share with you the two that I picked up. The Lips and Boys line has three finishes; from metallic, cream to matte finishes ranging from the palest nude to the deepest aubergine, there is sure to be a boy for you in the mix! Tom Ford Lip Color is filled with rare and exotic ingredients including soja seed extract, Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomilla flower oil to create an ultra-creamy texture with an incredibly smooth application.

New shades are: Alexander, Bradley, Jack, Ashton, Mitchell, Graham, Douglas, Snowdon, Aaron, Travis, Ryan, Inigo, Jon, Logan, Elliot, Anderson, Thomas, Jared, Cristiano, Dylan, Dominic, Evan, Nicolas, Ben and Christopher.

Repromoted shades are: Julian, Collin, Cary, Ian, Addison, Flynn, James, Richard, Patrick, Michael, Justin, Giacomo, Rafael, Luciano, Leonardo, Jake, Austin, Eric, Hiro, Roberto, Alejandro, Tony, Joaquin, Drake and Alex.

I decided to go with some of the pink/neutral shades because I’m not much of a bold lip person. I picked up the shades Addison and Collin.

  • Addison (Pink Dusk) is a light warm-toned dusky neutral pink with a cream finish.
  • Collin (Indian Rose) is a warm medium-dark plummy rose with a satin finish.

First off all, the packaging is beautiful and comes in a deep black bullet with metallic gold trim.

After playing with the shades for a few weeks now, I can say that I think these are pretty awesome and I am very impressed though not surprised. These have a lightweight texture and was lightly creamy with great pigment and coverage range from medium to full depending on color. They are smooth and apply beautifully. I wouldn’t say they are going to last you hours, but these lipsticks wear really well. They last about 4 hours on me and was lightly hydrating.

Although these are not the full size lipsticks, they are still quite expensive though cheaper than their regular sized counterpart. These tiny, perfect-for-your-purse Lips & Boys retail for US $36 / CAD $44 each for 0.07 oz/ 2.07 mL (The full size lipsticks contain 3g).

The Tom Ford Lips and Boys are available now at Sephora and Holt Renfrew.

Did you pick up any of the new shades since the release?

xo ❤
