So I’m kind of obsessed with summer beauty collections lately. Today I want to share just a couple pieces I picked up from the Tom Ford Soleil Summer 2017 collection. The collection features a few palettes, compacts, eye duos and innovative bronzing options; but since I have a few similar pieces from last year’s collection, I only wanted what appealed to me the most this year and what I will get the most used out of.
When you think of beauty junkie dreams, they have to include Tom Ford in some shape or form. They always bring out some of the most luxe collections and their upcoming Soleil Colour 2017 range is no different. Packaging is luxe, gorgeous and typical Tom Ford all the way around: white packaging with beautiful gold accents.
Tom Ford Sheer Highlighting Duo in Reflects Gilt
The sheer highlighting duo has a light reflecting finish built in that perfectly mimics the appearance of skin with the sunrise and the sunset to give a light-reflective finish to bronzed summer skin.
This is a warm, shimmery duo – the top shade is a warm gold and the bottom shade is a rose gold copper color. The texture is soft, smooth, and blends very nicely. Pigment is sheer to medium but can be layered for more color without emphasizing pores. The powders are a hybrid gel powder that didn’t kick up a lot of powder. On my medium skin tone, the top shade works very nicely as a highlighter, while the bottom shade is best suited as a blush or a blush topper. I love how it gives the skin a luminous sheen and it can also be used on the eyes. This is versatile enough that it can be applied wet or dry and still create an incredible effect.
Tom Ford Cream and Powder Eye Duo in Parsdiso
The Cream and Power Eye Color is found in two-tiered eye color pairs. The metallic cream shadow formula for the cream shadow is deeply pigmented, and glides onto lids smoothly, while the powder in the top of the two-tiered compact features the sparkling celestial for a shimmery final look.
This is my first Tom Ford cream shadow but I’ve now become a huge fan of these Cream Color formula. I decided to pick up the newest shade in Paradiso. The cream portion is a rose gold color and the top portion is a coppery shade with a sparkling finish. The cream portion is so pigmented and super easy to blend. The consistency is so smooth and creamy. Gosh, it just feels so amazing to the touch! I love how they don’t feel or look dry, cakey or heavy. I haven’t had any issues with ceasing or budging so that’s a plus. I love that you can wear it on its own as a one swipe cream eyeshadow but when you add the shimmer shade on top, it gives an almost wet eye look effect that is just so pretty! The consistency of the top portion was also smooth and work great as a topper over the cream. The two products worked well together and are extremely long-wearing.
