Vancouver Fashion Week - Where Global Talent Shines

Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) We are excited to unveil the designers for the highly anticipated Fall/Winter 2025 season. For over 24 years, this prestigious event has championed Canadian talent while celebrating the global diversity of the fashion industry. With its distinctly multicultural approach and over 45 designers from over 10 countries, VFW has drawn international attention, providing both renowned designers and rising stars with a platform to showcase their creativity, strengthen their brand presence, and expand their media reach.

Fashion lovers and industry experts will come together from all around the globe in the city of Vancouver for a remarkable week of creativity and innovation. From the refined elegance of Australia’s Aisha Ellen Garments to the bold streetwear of America’s Astrophe Apparel, Vancouver Fashion Week will offer something for every type of fashion enthusiast. Experience the ethereal beauty of French designer JULIE EHME‘s nature-inspired couture; and Thailand’s TRIKUL, a resortwear brand offering feminine dresses and daywear. NUDO 6/6, the collective of over 750 Indigenous women from Mexico  will show their collection fusing ancestral techniques with contemporary design. Japanese brands like the vintage-inspired maison de chat noir and the uniquely feminine AMERGE will also join the runway. Witness the highly-anticipated Chinese designer RuirUiruI, who is recognized for challenging conventions with its “genderless, ageless, and classless” ethos and is assured to deliver a fashion-forward showcase, embedding concepts of renaissance and utopia into its unique identity.

Among international designers, honoured local talent will make memorable debuts and returns to VFW. Fresh from his recent successes at London and New York Fashion Weeks, Alex S. Yu will be showcasing his whimsical collection, known for blending reality and fantasy within contemporary womenswear. Eduardo Ramos, who has captivated audiences since his debut collection in 2019 at VFW, showing his most recent collection during Paris fashion week, and DresSeema, a brand rooted in the philosophy of simplicity with bold uniqueness, will appear on the VFW runway during fashion week. Old Fashioned Standards will continue to showcase their fun and vibrant, yet luxurious, handmade designs, whilst LaSalle College and VCC will showcase the work of Vancouver-based student designers, culminating their studies with their own runway shows. This year, sustainability is a key focus of VFW, with Delayne Dixon, a BC-based designer who makes pieces from upcycled and deadstock material, making her VFW debut this season.

Bahar Kianpour, the Vancouver-based fashion designer specializing in ethereal, yet elegant clothing, is the recipient of the prestigious Nancy Mak award for this year. The Award, created in 2014 in honour of the late Nancy Mak by Vancouver Fashion Week and Global Fashion Collective’s founder, Jamal Abdourahman, truly represents Mak’s benevolent spirit. In an effort to continue Nancy’s legacy of creative inspiration and building through connection, the annual grant commits to invest in promising new fashion design talent, providing opportunities to showcase their collections and make vital contacts in major fashion markets worldwide, including New York, Paris, Milan and Tokyo. This year, Bahar presented her collection in Paris during fashion week,  and stated that it was an “incredible honour to receive such an accolade in Nancy’s name – a pioneer for us fashion designers in Vancouver.”
