Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Review

I’m very impressed with her line and definitely want to try a few more things.

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow is a compact that features a sculpting powder and a highlighter. Both the bronzer and the highlighter feel very high quality and luxurious. The powders are soft and pigmented and the texture of both powders is silky, finely-milled, and have a creamy formula. They are buildable and blend out smoothly and seamlessly on the skin.

Charlotte-Tilbury-filmstar-bronze-and-glow-charlottetilbury_filmstar005The packaging is a beautiful rose gold finish and has that vintage feel and look to it. It feels sturdy and it is just very elegant looking.

Charlotte-Tilbury-filmstar-bronze-and-glow-charlottetilbury_filmstar003The Sculpting powder is a neutral medium tan brown shade with a satin finish and very subtle warm undertones. The color is on the lighter side, but still works great for my olive NC 40 skin tone (I’m really tan now since its summer). Although this sculpting powder has micro-shimmer, the shimmer particles does not translate on the skin. It has a nice smooth consistency that applied easily and blended out nicely. I apply this product very light-handed under my cheekbones for a subtle contouring effect. This is definitely perfect for a more subtle contour and perfect for everyday use because of how natural it looks. I wouldn’t recommend it for those with tan or darker skin tone because it may not show up but instead they may want to opt for the darker version of this which is the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Medium to Dark that was recently released and is meant for medium to deep skin tones.

The Highlighter is absolutely beautiful. The shade is a pale, champagne beige colour that gives the skin a beautiful radiance lit from within glow. It blends effortlessly into the most beautiful luminous satin finish. It does not contain any large, glittery particles and doesn’t emphasize pores or the skin’s natural texture. It reflects light without looking metallic. The powder’s texture is silky, finely-milled, and very blendable and looks very natural on my skin. Both the highlighter and sculpting powder wore well for about 8 hours before starting to fade. Overall rating: 4.8/5

Charlotte Tilbury is available for purchase at Charlotte Tilbury and Beautylish for US $68.00.
