My Spring Makeup Picks

My Spring Makeup Picks-trends001

Spring into Spring! So spring is official here and I thought I would share with you all my makeup picks for this season! We have a new blush palette, lipsticks, bronzers and highlighters, these are just some of my favourites. It’s Spring which calls for bursts of bright colours and natural yet radiant skin!

For my base, I will be using Diorskin Nude Air Sérum De Teint (Review Here), as I have been using it a lot lately. It leaves my skin looking smooth and silky with a soft-focus effect. When it is blended into the skin, it blurs imperfections giving a skin finish look and leaving your skin looking airbrush without breaking-down or looking blotchy or patchy throughout the day. Your makeup is lightweight and skin is beautiful and natural looking with an amazing subtle glow.

To brighten up the cheeks, I will be gabbing these babies, NARS Dual Intensity Blush & Milani Baked Blush. These will be all the blushes I need this spring! First, let’s start with the NARS Dual Intensity Blush in Adoration (Review Here). This gel-powder formula can be applied wet or dry and the blush duo palette consist of two complimenting colours for all skin tones. The texture is smooth and silky. Adoration duo is described as a sparkling baby pink and shimmering hot pink. The colors are beautiful and the pigmentation is good and best part is that they do look natural giving a beautiful satin finish.
Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso is a shimmer light peach. This is my go to blush every spring. It provides a healthy sun-kissed glow to your cheeks. It is very pigmented and soft, shimmery but without being glittery or too sparkly. This is a high quality blush for a low price. I love it!

On the nails, my go-to for the last couple springs has been Essie’s Fiji! I’m not a big nail polish lover but when it comes around to spring and summer time, I tend to grab for this one more. It is a beautiful light pale pink without shimmer or glitter in it and has a beautiful creamy finish. It looks sleek and minimalistic but at the same time feminine and sophisticated.

On the eyes, Makeup Geek Eye shadows are fantastic. I did a review on a couple of them (Here). They are smooth, highly pigmented and builds and blends wonderfully. They are great for all over the lid and for blending into the crease and the texture is very nice and buttery. I love using Shimma Shimma all over the lid and as a brow bone highlighter and Peach Smoothie in the crease. For a bit of a sparkle, I look using Urban Decay Retrograde Stardust eyeshadow, a dark shimmery purple. If I want to do really natural, I love using the Rimmel eyeliner in turquois as a liner and L’oreal silkissime highlighter as a pop of light on the inner corner of the eyes.

On my lips, MAC’s Sunny Seoul lipstick is a creamy warm light/medium pink with shimmer that I love to wear daily in the spring! This was the first lipstick I purchased from MAC and I absolutely am in love with it! It has coral hues to it and it looks gorgeous on the lips. It is a nice light alternative to my mostly peachy or nude lip colors in my color collection I also love wearing my Revlon lip butter in sweet tart, the perfect pink! This is a balm-like lipstick that has a medium-to-high amount of pigment that is smooth and moisturizing. So fun!

Bronze them’ face and make those cheeks glow, will most certainly be a trend this season! Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder (Review Here) provides a beautiful warm, glowing apricot tan glow. It is a finely milled powder that is very subtle and goes on very smoothly and blends well. Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight (Review Here) is one of my favourite cream highlight formulas I’ve ever found. I normally am not drawn to cream highlighters but this one creates a very natural glow that adds a luminous sheen to your cheekbones. It is very subtle and completely gorgeous and perfect if you want something quick to use.

So what will be your spring makeup picks for 2015? Share with us!

xoxo~Ann-Marie
