OK, so I absolutely love mascaras. It could be because I have the shortest lashes on the planet but it is one of my most-loved products. I’m always looking for something that will give me big, bold lashes. Give me a mascara, a lip gloss and some blush and I am good! Today, I am going to be sharing my thoughts on Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. I discovered this mascara about two years ago and have loved it since. I don’t tend to buy a lot of high-end mascaras because I personally love the affordable drugstore mascaras which are quite really good and did I say affordable, but this has been one of those mascaras that I really do love.
The packaging says it will give 1944% more volume, 93% of women saw base to tip curl, 100% of women saw dramatic volume and longer length and 90% of women saw a dramatic look with a single coat. The brush is big and fluffy and shapes like an hourglass and the benefits to the brush shape is that it apparently is the secret to separating, curling and adding 1944% more volume to your lashes (Is that possible btw???….). It has a wet formula that contains carbon black pigments and a film-forming polymer for smudge-proof, all day wear and unique peptides for the deepest, intense black possible.
The packaging is a beautiful blush rose gold color and is quite sturdy with the name of the mascara embossed on the tube.
Normally I use between 1-2 applications because of the fullness I get from it. I love the pigmentation and it has a very dramatic ‘blackest black’ quality to it. The brush separates, coats and curls each lash perfectly, adding volume and giving fuller thicker defined lashes. You can easily get a bold look with just 2 coats because of the lengthening effect. It can start getting a bit clumpy with 3 or more coats so I would not recommend using more than 3 coats. It does an amazing job at lasting all day and holding the curl really well and I did not have a problem with flaking or smudging.
The only complain I have is that it transfers underneath my eyes and sometimes on my eyelids near the lashline. Overall, this mascara is great if you are looking for something to make your lashes look more long, thick and separated. Just be aware that it is NOT waterproof.
