May 2015 Beauty Favorites-Monthly Favorites-Beauty Favorites-003Can you believe a whole month has gone by already? For half of this month, I didn’t use too many different products because of my move; however, I do have a few items to share with you so let’s jump on in!

An eyeshadow palette I have been using a ton this month is the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. I hadn’t used this in a bit but I have been using it almost every day this month. It is made with coco powder, and smells like chocolate and the color variety and selection of this palette is wonderful. The colors are beautiful with good pigmentation and just a great all around palette for the neutral lover.

For days when I don’t want to wear foundation or I want something quick and easy for every day, I opt for the Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream. This is a nice light buildable coverage BB cream that blends nicely into the skin and gives a lovely and natural finish. This cream goes on smooth and is very lightweight, despite feeling thick when it first comes out of the tube. I also love that it feels pretty moisturizing on the skin. An added bonus is the SPF 35 sun protection!

I’m not much of a cream product girl but I’ve been enjoying the Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight for a pop of shimmer to highlight the tops of my cheekbones, cupid’s bow, and forehead. I’ve been using it a lot more lately when I just want a soft glow. The creamy formula makes application really easy, and the subtle highlight just brings the whole look together. I did a full review on this that you can read here.

Another beloved product that I hadn’t used in a while and decided to pull out this month is MAC Prep and Prime Fix Plus. This is a lightweight finishing mist that contains vitamins and minerals and infused with soothing and calming ingredients such as chamomile, cucumber and green tea. I use this mostly to finish off my makeup such as diffusing any excess powder on the skin so that I do not look ‘cakey’; leaving me with seamless, blended finish. I also love this for hydrating the skin and refreshing my makeup.

Finally, the month of May was for nude lipsticks. My favorite shade this month has been Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Bitch Perfect. It is a light-medium peachy rose nude with a very light hint of pink with warm undertones and a sheen finish. I love pairing it with Rimmel London Eastend Snob Lip Liner. I just love these two together! I did a post on these two lip products here and a full review of the lipstick, you can read about it here.
