Skincare is an important step in any makeup application and something I take seriously so I knew I had to try bareMinerals new Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream. This new innovative product is supposed to combine the best of BB, CC and tinted moisturizer in one and also moisturize your skin to provide increased skin hydration, give you buildable coverage to even out your skin tone, and provide SPF 30 sun protection. All that in one product…now see why I had to try it out for myself.
Available in 10 shades ranging from Opal (for the fairest porcelain skin with cool tones) to Sienna (for deep skin with neutral tones), and formulated without oils, silicones, parabens, or fragrance, this color correcting gel is amazing. It provides dewy, sheer-to-medium coverage with a radiant, soft and smooth-looking finish. Because it is so light and sheer at first, I thought it wouldn’t work for me but it is a buildable product; and after some concealer and powder, you’re good to go! It adds a beautiful hydrated sheen to the skin while evening out redness and pigmentation for a really uniform and healthy looking complexion. It just blends flawlessly into the skin and absorbs quickly allowing a buildable effect if you so desire. It truly is amazing skincare too because it was perfect on my combination/dry skin, smoothing everything out and delivering a significant moisture boost. My skin definitely feels softer and has a more dewy appearance. It is user and travel friendly. This is great for days when you need a bit of color on your face but don’t have time to put on a full face of makeup. Application is really easy – you can either use your fingertips or a brush. This will work great if you have normal to dry skin and for anyone with dehydrated skin.
Overall, I really like how this product feels on my skin. It absorbs into my skin and really hydrates it and still looks amazing even at the end of the day! Overall rating: 4.4/5. bareMinerals Complexion Rescue retails for US $29.00 and CAD $36.00 and is available at Sephora.com.
