L’Oreal True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator Review

However, it can be really difficult to find any sort of highlighting products in the drugstore but now L’oreal has introduced 3 new Liquid and 3 new Powder highlighters in their Lumi Line. The collection features three shades: C301 Ice – for cool toned (fair) skin; N201 Rose – for neutral toned (medium) skin and W101 Golden – for warm toned (medium to deep) skin.

loreal-Lumi-liquidGlowIlluminator-review-loreal_goldenlumiliquid-003L’Oreal Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator (Golden), is a bright, frosty gold with warm yellow undertones and a metallic sheen and just a beautiful color for tan skin. The texture is thick and somewhat creamy and these are very pigmented. I didn’t find that the formula is oily or sticky. It dries down very quickly and there is no glitter or sparkle and it didn’t appear to emphasize pores.

This is both a primer and highlighter in one that can be used on the cheek bones, worn underneath or all-over such as mixing in with a base product, like your foundation or moisturizer to add a healthy glow to your face. However, I personally prefer using it as a highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones, high points of my face and down the bridge of my nose as I find that it is too shimmery, metallic or intense when mixed in for all-over use on the face. I like doing this with a damp beauty blender or sponge.

Overall, I really like this liquid highlighter and I like that it wears fairly decent, lasting about 8 hours on me before turning patchy. Overall rating: 4.2/5     You can find these at your local drugstores; I purchased mine at Walmart for CAD $12.99.
