Drunk Elephant Just Launched Its First Foundation: Meet Kamo Cover Drops

Drunk Elephant

Drunk Elephant has officially entered the complexion category. The brand’s first foundation, Kamo Triple-Peptide Cover Drops, is now here, bringing the brand’s skincare-focused approach to a customizable complexion product.

Unlike a traditional foundation designed for one specific level of coverage, Kamo was created to be more flexible. According to Drunk Elephant, it can be used as a foundation, concealer or mixed with skincare for a lighter finish.

Meet Kamo Triple-Peptide Cover Drops

Kamo is available in 25 shades across cool, neutral and warm undertones.

The formula is designed to provide full coverage while maintaining a natural-looking finish, and Drunk Elephant says just 1–3 drops can be used for the entire face.

What makes the launch particularly interesting is the way Drunk Elephant has approached the formula. Rather than treating foundation as makeup alone, Kamo brings several skincare-focused ingredients into the complexion category.

What’s Inside the Formula?

The formula contains 18% amino-acid-coated pigments and a 4% peptide complex, along with marula oil, green tea seed oil and squalane.

Drunk Elephant says the formula is designed to visibly firm, smooth and even the appearance of skin while providing coverage.

The brand also states that Kamo offers up to 12 hours of crease- and transfer-resistant wear.

Of course, those are the brand’s claims, and I haven’t personally tested the formula yet, so I’m looking forward to seeing how it performs in real life.

A New Direction for Drunk Elephant

Kamo feels like a natural step for a brand that has always placed skincare at the centre of its identity. Drunk Elephant is already known for products such as Protini, B-Hydra, C-Firma and D-Bronzi, and its current lineup continues to span skincare and complexion products.

The new Kamo Triple-Peptide Cover Drops simply take that skin-first approach into foundation.

I haven’t tried Kamo yet, so this isn’t a review. But as Drunk Elephant’s first-ever foundation, it’s definitely a launch worth knowing about and one I’ll be keeping an eye on.
